My Dog refused to eat this food alone with the other flaver i bought! 2 different flavors & she just will not eat it! I left it out all day & the next morning it was still there,there,i then threw it away & fed her her food she has now. Its so hard to find a good taste of food with NO Chicken!!The Brand is Natures Recipe origial Stew Lamb Rice &Barley Recipe! Fran

I guess the company wasn't making enough profit, so they canned this. Er, they stopped making it.

SO disappointed that this product has been discontinued! (I contacted Nature's Recipe directly and they confirmed.) I can't imagine why they would do this, as many animals are on a vegetarian diet for various reasons, including mine. This was the one canned food that ALL my dogs loved, and that all of their tummies could tolerate with no problem. We are almost out of cans now and my dogs will soon be missing their favorite food. I hope the company soon changes their mind and starts making this food again. My dogs and I will be waiting.

When we rescued our middle-aged pit bull a couple years ago, we wanted to introduce her to a vegetarian diet to align with our values (and hers! -- why eat fellow animals when you don't have to?). Coincidentally, she also suffered from skin issues. So it was a no-brainer for her to go veg. We tried Natural Balance but it was hit or miss. This product she ADORES! We mix it every meal with Wild Earth kibble (also a vegan A+ dog food.) Anyway -- back to Nature's Recipe Vegetarian Formula -- she loves the stew-like texture and gobbles it all up in three seconds. So much so that we've had to order slow-eater bowls for her. Oh, by the way, she's never been healthier.

I'm vegan & dedicated to animal protection, so it follows I don't want to feed my rescue dogs the body parts of other animals. The dogs I adopt are always seniors, & probably never had vegan food before. All love Nature's Recipe Vegetarian Stew (& its companion kibble.)Each can is densely packed with small, recognizable chunks of veggies & plant protein in very thick gravy. I add a full can of warm water to each can of food, which extends the volume & hydrates my old pups. Been through 10 cases so far & the contents have been consistent, smell & look appetizing.Tried few other vegan dog foods, & Nature's Recipe is a stand-out. The brand provides excellent, humane nutrition at a good price.

I want to switch my 2 dogs to a vegan diet. This has plenty of protein and vitamins. It is like stew. It looks and smells good. My one dog gobbles it up. My picky eater dog rejected it most of the time but ate it if he was hungry enough. Their breath and bowel movements greatly improved when eating this!

My dogs like this product; however, some of the cans typically arrive dented.
