ATG Heavy Duty Universal Pistol Dovetailed Rear Sight Pusher Tool

Excellent pusher. I had a much less expensive pusher, but was afraid it might ruin the expensive sights i was installing. This pusher was very easy to use and has plastic incerts so they wont damage your slide.

Use to switch out Glock 21 Gen 4 front and rear sights for Hi-Glo night sights. It was super easy and straight forward using this complete, high quality tool kit. I realize that others change their sights without this kit, but I did not want to damage the gun or the sights in the process. A bit pricey but worth it as this tool kit can help if I need to fully disassemble my Glock 21 Gen 4. There are other model Glocks in the family so this tool kit will come into some good use.

I bought this to replace the sights on a Glock 19X and worked perfectly. Now, mind you, it was marketed for a Glock, so I'm giving it 5-stars in relation to working with a Glock. But, I already owned it and figured that I would try it on my Sig Sauer P365. Worked fine for the rear site, but it isn't designed to work on dovetail-grooved front sight. Glocks have fixed post front sights (why would anyone want both the front and rear sight to be able to move left/right independently?) so there is no need to use this tool on a Glock front sight. So, in summary, yes, it works just fine for a Glock.

I was hesitant to pick up this sight kit because of the negative reviews. All I can say is I’ve used it over a dozen times since it showed up on my door step and I haven’t had a single problem. I was extra cautious with the first use because I was worried it would break like some people have mentioned. When I took it out of the box it felt sturdy and well built. It’s super easy to set up and use. I could only see potential issues if you don’t take your time to set it up correctly. It has some drilled mounting holes on the frame body but it can really be used anywhere. I’ve got a woodworking bench with a built in vice so I just toss it in that and it holds securely. My only critique is that the glock tool pen has a take down pin which bends very easily. And before anyone says I was forcing my frame pins too hard just know that I’ve been working on pistols, glocks primarily, for years and I know what I’m doing. The steel doesn’t seem to be hardened which I believe is the issue. Just be careful and take your time if you’re going to use the provided pen. Aside from that there are a lot of benefits to this kit and it’s worth it’s weight in gold. If you’re looking to fully strip any pistol this is a solid purchase.

I do not usually take the time to write a review mainly because a lot of merchandise you buy is commonly found anywhere and people already know about it. Plus things are what they are. However, I purchased this to install sights on my Glock 43. I had just had simular sights installed on my Glock 48 and it cost a total of S140.00 at a local gun store. So i figured that I would be better off to buy this and the sights which only cost $55.00 from Amazon not installed. If it worked I would save money and have a tool for future use. Well when I tried it it was so easy I was pleasantly surprised. It worked flawlessly. I can not recommend this highly enough. I saw where some of the other reviews complained that they had gotten a broken one. I am sure that happens with everything. My experience has been great. If you get one broken just send it back and ask for a replacement. The tool does just what it is supposed to do.

I own a few different sight pushers. This one is by far the best of the lot. It is really easy to use. Holds the slide from all sides and makes sure that it is lined up properly so you push the sight out and install new sight correctly with no damage to the sight or slide. I use a 15mm ratcheting wrench to turn the pusher which makes it a breeze. Have used it to install at least 30 sets of suppressor height sights on Glock 17's and it worked flawlessly. My only issue is that the metal on metal contact where the pusher actually comes into contact with the sight may cause some marking on the sight. I use a small cotton patch as a buffer which seems to work just fine.

After reading several of the positive AND negative reviews I went ahead and ordered this kit. As was stated by another satisfied owner, I made sure to put a drop or two of gun lube on what was an already oiled mechanism. It is a universal kit, and not made for a specific slide, so you have to make sure that there won't be any interference between the pusher and slide before you get all ham fisted. Also, the plastic inserts for the side vise parts are perfect. Use them and you won't have an issue. The device itself has a good amount of weight to it. I used in sitting freely on my cherry desktop to swap the sights on my G19. It will eventually end up as part of my bench. If you're on the fence about buying, just keep in mind the part about it being a universal tool, and adjust your tolerances accordingly.

Works well. Front sight tool was burred up and initially wouldn't fit properly over the front site stud.
