**Q: What is the height in inches? It says 2.8 in the description but I'm assuming that's the packaging.**
A: I'm sorry, I don't know exactly, but that seems a good bit higher than I think mine was. I actually am going to need a new one myself soon...mine is installed on the threshold itself, not under the door, and subject to more wear, I think.

**Q: Is the top rubber surface flat or round?**
A: The rubber surface is rounded, as is shown in the photo. I suspect it may have been intended to be attached to the bottom of the door, but I have it attached to the door sill, rounded rubber surface up. It works great...a replacement for the worn out previous similar strip. Hope this helps!

**Q: Does anyone know the range of gap it will work with? Can it work with a 1/4 inch gap?**
A: Thank you for your question. The description:Seals gaps up to 1/2-in. and fits 1-3/8-in or 1-3/4-in thick door.

**Q: How do I cut the metal piece to size? Would tin snips work?**
A: I simply used a hack saw with the piece held in a bench vice. The cut may not be the prettiest (but not bad), but you will never see it when its mounted on the bottom of the door. Put the cut end at the hinge side of the door.
