Expansion Loom

This loom is quite clever and easy-to-use. What I especially love about it is that you do not have to cut off lengths of yarn to weave with. Because you weave dropping the yarn in from the top, you can leave it on its ball or skein and just unwind as you go. The only challenge with this loom is that, because you are constantly pulling the warp through as you fill up the spindles, the weaving gets very uneven, and parts of it are extremely dense, so that when you are done, you have to go through and spread it all out so that the fabric is not too stiff, unless of course you are making something where you want it that way. I made a scarf, and in order to achieve any sort of drape, it took quite a lot of arranging the threads once I was done weaving. One thing I really liked is that, if you use very very thick yarn to weave with, you can put the spindles in every other hole instead of each one, and that allows you to produce a nice soft and drapey fabric.

The expansion loom is the same as the starter kit, minus yarn and instructions. You can get the instructions online, both written and video. The loom parts are all the same, and you are going to buy more (and better) yarn anyway.The loom works, although it takes some practice to work evenly without the fabric becoming narrower as you work. The loom extensions are a bit fiddly to connect to each other or to disconnect, but once there, it works well. I made only a few projects with my looms, and so far it continues to work, but the thing is all plastic, so I expect it will eventually wear out.

Love this spindle loom; it arrived on time, in perfect condition and is so simple to use. I've already made several things that were so appreciated by the people I gifted them to. I now have 8 that I can hook together for very large projects and they are just very easy to put together or take apart.

Sure, it makes weaving easier, but it kinda feels like you're not weaving. I'm new to the art, and I think I would've preferred a nice wooden lap loom done the old-fashioned way.The parts you insert vertically are a bit flimsy, move around, and fall out sometimes if you're not super careful.

Very flimsy...I applaud those who can actually get it to work. I followed the instructions exactly...maybe I just got a defective one, but won't be trying again.The pegs did not turn as they should have, and the weave was very difficult to fit through the pegs. It had an all around cheap feel as well.

i love this weaving loom makes some awesome crafts its very easy to do it came with some yarn to start you off with would recommend this i loved it so much i had to buy the expansions to it

This was a gift for my daughter. Very easy to learn and use and lots of fun. Projects can be finished quickly so it's good for younger kids.

I purchased one of these for 23 dollars I had already opened it and set it up. When I went to my local store that was having a sale on yarn and found them (full kits) on clearance for 14.75. I was very disappointed that I did not do more research before purchasing this one.
