Works well. I only wish I could use the bowl as a salad bowl, but it isn’t detachable. It’s a good value for the price and easy to spin by pressing.

I love everything about it,easy to spin, stop, clean, and a spout to spill out the water.

This salad spinner is a more efficient, stream-lined version of the original salad spinners of years ago. The spinner comes with simple directions that have pictures to illustrate how to use it properly. The bowl holds a lot- I put two whole heads of cut up romaine in it. The bowl sits on a pedestal that elevates the bowl when spinning is needed. You just push down on the bowl to get it spinning and there is a button in the middle that serves as a brake to stop the basket when you're finished. Push down and twist the bowl to lock the spinner back in place and then you can pour the water out easily, without have to remove the lettuce. The bowl holds quite a bit of water, eliminating the need to pour it out before entirely finished. Overall, it's very sturdy and attractive. It is compact and less bulky than those I've had in the past. I'm able to store it in the narrow cabinet above my refrigerator when not in use. I'm very pleased with the Progressive Salad Spinner and enjoy the simplicity of use and time saving cleaning of my greens when preparing salads.

It was nice while it lasted, but I bought this on February 5, 2016 and the springload mechanism, that makes is spin, broke last week. (The first week of June 2018.)

First, I have to say that this is the most beautiful salad spinner I have ever seen. Very clean lines, the clear outside with gray strainer is very classy looking.But, I love it for more than its good looks. It is designed such that you can use it with one hand. Once the lettuce is chopped and washed in the strainer, put the cover on. Press down and twist with one hand to unlock the spinning function. With one hand you press up and down to spin the water out. When you want it to stop, you press down harder with the same hand applying pressure to the center, the "brake", which stops the spinning and automatically locks the bowl back in place.The cover allows you to pour the water out without having to remove the strainer and also prevents the lettuce from falling out. You can store the lettuce in the fridge as is. Because of its streamlined design it is not exceptionally bulky in the fridge.

Initially, I gave this a poor review, but Progressive Intl. responded to my Facebook message and subsequently called me to discuss my problems. They then sent me a new one, in case the one I had had gotten out without quality control.I was used to using the hand pump action on the Oxo and possibly, I was not putting the proper weight on the lid in spinning it. I may also not be able to use the full "clamshell" salad amount but that's OK, considering the pluses: beautiful design ability to wash lettuce in it and there is a spout to drain off the water so I don't have to lift the basket out of the water easier to spin that with the pump handle in the middle the material of the basket is such that the greens don't stick behind after you have emptied the basket so it's easier to cleanall in all, I love it.

This salad spinner is a much more attractive design than other salad spinners I've had in the past. And more efficient! Even when I jammed it entirely full of kale (even I thought I had put too much in there), it spun all the water out. Like a boss! I love salad. I eat it all the time. And I buy organic farm-fresh veggies that often still have dirt on them. I like dirt, but my guests don't always like it. This is going to cut down on my prep time significantly.I also like that there are three pieces that all easily come apart for cleaning, BUT the spinner feels entirely stable during the spinning process.This is a good one!

I've had the OXO salad spinner forever, it's really showing its age now and this looked to be something new worth giving a shot. I wasn't sure how well the push-down mechanism would work or if it would be stable enough for some aggressive spinning. :) After a few uses, I'm quite pleased. It works as expected and a few things that are different from my old spinner are a nice touch. The basket material seems a bit sturdier and easier to hand wash than my old spinner and I really like the spout to pour out the dirty water. It comes apart easily for cleaning and has the same foot-print as my old one. I would buy this again.

Expensive for what it is But you get what you pay for

Cette essoreuse est très esthétique et pratique pour être rangée au réfrigérateur. Malheureusement, elle n'essore pas. On a beau insister pour l'essorage, la salade reste toujours trempée, une véritable galère et une très grosse déception. Le mécanisme n'est pas suffisamment démultiplié pour prendre de la vitesse suffisante pour un essorage efficace. Vu le prix, je m'attendais au nec plus ultra de l'essorage. Je déconseille l'achat de cet article car vous serez déçu.

lorsque l'on presse sur l'essoreuse, un axe métallique central hélicoïdal est censé entraîner l'essoreuse en rotation. Le modèle que nous avons reçu ne le faisait pas et l'axe de l'essoreuse (en plastique) coulissait sans rotation. Sans doute la partie en plastique était rognée par l'axe métallique du socle. la conception ne permet pas d'avoir un produit fiable.
