The tea definitely works. I had drank it the night before, followed the package instructions and the following morning I felt the effects of it. I felt kind of like I had gotten a stomach virus at first. I had some serious cramps, but that was short lived. It's not unbearable pain, so don't be afraid to try the tea out, especially because it seems like this doesn't happen to everyone. This tea has definitely helped flush out my system, which was desperately needed. I feel a lot less bloated. I just want to address those who may think of this as a diet tea, and may use this as a way of weight loss. This is a great tea for restarting your system feeling fresh, but there is no substitute for healthy weight loss besides healthy eating and exercise. I recommend this as a starter to help your body hit the restart button, or if you are feeling clogged up this will definitely get all the bad junk out. Add this, in moderation (follow the box instructions!), to a good, healthy diet and any amount of physical activity; you'll feel wonderful! Also, to comment on the taste. It's very earthy. I personally am a fan, and I don't think anything needs to be added. Some might disagree with me on this, so if you are not into earthy flavors you may want to think of adding a lemon in with the tea.

I refer to this as the 'Tea of Doom', because it definitely will clean you out. You're going to find chewing gum you swallowed in 3rd grade about 4-12 hours after you drink this, and when the feeling hits, let's hope you're close to a bathroom because you aren't going anywhere for awhile. It's powerful tea, with a not-so-great taste, but nothing enough honey and lemon can't fix. If you have children around that might get into your tea for any reason, I recommend keeping it where they can't see or get it. But after all that eating, snacking, sampling, craving, testing and pigging out that the holiday season brings, this is good to have on hand and I definitely recommend it to anyone with New Years' Resolutions for weight loss!

This is my favorite digestive aid. Unlike others that are pure fiber it actually clears you out & didn't give you a watery mess. It works in 5 hours or so, so unless you only sleep for 4 hours and/or don't mind being woke up by the need to poop, I wouldn't suggest right before bed. I make it iced and keep it near my bed to quench that middle of the night dry throat. The taste is bad compared to other teas but excellent compared to other laxatives. Anyone that complains about the taste needs to try castor oil or Epsom salt.

I was chronically constipated for a while, and I took powerful stuff for it, but now that I am off those laxatives I still get blocked up every once in a while. Taking this tea once or twice a week helps me stay regular, very gently. When I first took it I didn't have any violent bursts of stool, it all came out over the course of a day very soft. The flavor isn't bad, kind of like lima beans in my opinion.

This tea does what it says and does gently move your bowels. However, one time I drank the tea after I knew I ate some pretty heavy /junk food and booooy the next morning I was trying to leave for work and had a serious bowel movement that felt like when I used to have lactose intolerant moments and you go to the bathroom and are shaking and sweating and are miserable lol. But otherwise the bowels movements are very gentle and don’t bum rush you (no pun intended) the way it did for me that one time. PLEASE USE AS DIRECTED.

I have tried other laxative teas and the licorice flavor can be overpowering. This one still has that flavor but it is much more subtle. It also isn't as overbearing in strength as other laxative teas that I've tried as I had no stomach cramping and it simply helped to relieve constipation overnight in a less abrupt fashion. I will order again, but luckily I only need this on a rare occasion so my box is still quite full. :)
