OhlinsSD 027 Steering Damper (Sd 027 R1), Black

Right out of the box, you can tell this damper is amazing. Ohlins unboxing is always like finding a treasure, its almost too pretty to use. Install is incredibly straight forward for an 07 R1, much easier than some other piston style and rotary style dampers, just remember if you turn this thing in 18 clicks, you will not be able to move the handle bars! Adjustment on the fly is super easy too with the chunky and crisp feeling adjuster. If you track, or canyon carve, this thing is 100% worth the purchase.

This thing is GREAT. I kicked myself for spending so much money on such a little thing. Then I installed it. I have a new bike. Bring on the potholes. This thing is going to keep me safe. Buy it.

I bought this item because it was opened at 281$ instead of 395$.It turns out that the item inside was not the original Ohlins steering damper but another cheap aftermarket steering damper that showed marks of use and that is definitely not a Ohlins product.This part didn’t fit in the box and parts were missing as bolt, spacer and Teflon spacer as the mounting instructions showed.Overall I’m really upset about this purchase.
