3 Gallon Gasoline Pack - Leakproof Portable Fuel Container, Red

These are a bit pricey, but they are the best way to take additional fuel during my wheeling trips (I use a spare tire carrier by Rock Slide Engineering). I bought them specifically for a 3 day wheeling trip deep in the Panama Jungle. A lot of shaking going on, and no spills. And the fit nicely in the spare tire rack without hitting the body of the Jeep. As far as ease of use goes, they have good things and bad things; the good is how they have the filter thing set up, so that if you are carrying them outside, and have them locked in, it would be hard to syphon the gas out of them without finding a way to unlock the rack; the down comes mainly from the spout. I just hate the type of safety spout you need to pull in for it to start letting gas through. I miss the old type where you just poured! These were a pain to get the gas into the jeep (especially considering where the Jeep YJ has the gas fill port!). I had to bend over backwards to get the fuel to the Jeep. But overall, I am happy with the purchase. In fact, I plan to purchase 2 water tanks now to have the water outside for shorter trips (leaving more room for gear inside).

Very durable…not a fan of the “locking” spout so I’ll be replacing that with the old school style ones but no complaints other than that

Bought two of them for my jeep they work great no leaks no gas smell and they fit my rack perfect. I think the price is a little hi but they are the best for your overland jeep trips

The three-gallon size is just right for those day trips—enough to fill up my tank and still have some left over for those "oops, I was just exploring" moments. Overall, this ROTOPAX gas pack has me feeling ready for anything—like a gas-slinging superhero! I can confidently recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to avoid the fear of running out of fuel while off the beaten path. I mean, who wants to be that person walking 10 miles back to civilization? Not me!
