Installation was very easy with the provided instructions. Works great, no issues at all. Not original brand, but not able to tell the difference. Fit perfectly without having to do any workaround or get additional parts. Only needed a screw driver and pliers. Took about 15 mins because I should have read the instructions first. Very well built, sturdy as heck. Great price compared to what so called name brand replacement cost. Closes and opens without any problems. After first installation, I thought it would not close due to intense pressure. But after a few hand closes, it worked perfectly. Definitely get some replacement grease, not oil. These struts are excellent replacements for the OEM struts. That said, I do have two relatively minor complaints. First, the installation instructions supplied are not for the struts that were received. However, installation is very simple and instructions are not really needed. Second, bolts to secure the struts to the car body were not included. But, the bolts that secured the old struts were serviceable, so no harm was done. The overall quality of the struts appears to be quite high so I did not deduct any stars because these shortcomings.

Very happy with this purchase! Took less than 10 mins to install, and my hatch works better than when I bought the vehicle. Easy to install, sturdy product and a great price. Works amazing on 2018 crosstrek. Hatch stays up, and closes softly. Definitely recommend.

I got tired of the hood slowly falling on my head while checking the oil and doing routine maintenance on my Santa Fe, so I finally ordered these replacements. I am so glad I did (I've had it for almost a year now, and it's still perfect.) The installation was incredibly straightforward. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to pop the old ones off and snap these new ones into place with just a flathead screwdriver. They fit the Santa Fe perfectly and are surprisingly strong when you pop the hood now, it lifts up smoothly on its own and stays firmly in place. If you do any of your own car maintenance. Great quality for the price!!!!

Easy to install ! These work a little too good! It was a little hard to close the hatch after install, had to use 2 hands to do it.. I guess I was used to the old worn ones and they have softened a little over the past couple of months.. I would purchase again!

Fits 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. Very easy to install, even a 55 yr. old woman can do it!

I bought a set of these struts for my 2014 Subaru WRX hatchback. They work fine, and installation was not too hard. BUT they are about 3/4" short of extending to the fullest extent allowed by the hatch hinges. And so, at full opening supported by the struts, the bottom edge of the hatch is lower than it would be if the struts extended further by maybe couple of inches or a bit more. (This is an estimate, since I couldn't actually extend past the strut's full length to see.) They certainly are OK. And lift to their limit. And a LOT better than hitting my head on the hatch due to weak struts. But would be just right if they kept pushing up to the max allowed by the hinges.

This was a 5 minute fix and very easy. YouTube search matrix hatch piston replacement . Save you a lot of money. Smaller than the OEM part but works great.

I parked my suv at the airport for a week when I got home it was -25c and snowed a foot at least, I went to open the hatch of my car and the struts were completely gone, as it turned out it was only one but both were changed out, super easy to change and what a difference, they are so firm I had to use almost all my might to close the hatch. these fit my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe perfect

A perfect fit for my hardtop rear window for a 2008 Jeep JKU. My original window supports (#6602) were sagging and i almost bump my head everytime i walked to the cargo area. These new shocks improved the headspace by 6" ! So lots of clearance now. It only took a few minutes to replace them. Am very happy.
