Smooth Operator
This is exactly what I would expect from Okuma. This is a great reel for the money. The bait runner works very well and will cast very far as any spinning reel will. LOVE THIS REEL!!!!

Excellent for deadsticking while you're ice fishing
This is a tremendous reel! It's reasonably priced yet very well built. Have used it this winter while ice fishing, and the baitfeeder system is great๐ It's light and smooth and I've caught crappie, yellow perch, pickerel and a 5lb northern pike. I have it paired with a noodle rod and have purchased 2 so far. Okuma reels are really tremendous, I have been fishing for over 66 years and I can highly recommend this reel for ice fishing!

Baitfeeder tension too much!
Only 4 stars because requires a heavy amount of force to pull out line on the reels lowest setting. So much that walleye would drop the bait because of the tension . No way could a large perch or bluegill run with the bait. Keep in mind I bought the smallest one "500" size. I have several Okuma reels and love them but this was a huge disappointment.

Excellent reel
I bought this reel for ice fishing to use in a dead stick. Perfect size reel for ice fishing, very smooth operation and well made. I would recommend this reel for ice fishing to anyone.

Smooth
Silky smooth. No issues at all. Baitfeeder could be louder but otherwise GREAT reel. Iโve ordered a 500 and a 3000 class reel. Both are super sweet reels.

Super nice
If you ice fish with I-fish pros or finiky fooler type tip up this reel is a must. The secondary drag system is the feature that makes this a must have reel for hard water fishing.

These reels are mini baitrunners and work very well ,helped me catch 7 tench on hybrid tactics ,they match 7 ft feeder rods very well .
