I read the previous reviews and decided on a 3X. I'm a pear shape with larger upper arms (about 18" around the bicep). Im comfortably able to wear 2 thin layers under the coat. The waist is quite roomy even with adjusting the side belt strips which allows me to keep the coat on for shorter trips driving around.The buttons are larger which is handy for handling the buttons with gloves on. The buttons are reinforced with smaller buttons on the backsides.I love this coat. Its warm, its comfortable, well made and the color is gorgeous.

I typically wear a 2x but followed advice and ordered a 3x. Fits very well everywhere with a little room for heavy sweaters underneath. This is a medium weight coat. No other insulation but the one layer of wool and the polyester lining. It's currently about 2 degrees here and the coat with a sweater underneath was fine. Not sure about really WINDY cold days. I like the style with the adjustable side belts. Top stitching is well done and all the stitching and buttons appear secure. The red is a deep red, accurate in the picture. The only reason I didn't give this coat 5 stars is because the pockets are in the side seam and poof out a little bit on the sides. Not the smooth line I would prefer. A very nice coat for the price.

I love this coat. It is heavier than I expected. Craftsmanship is better than I expected. Quality is better than I expected. Everything down to the buttons is well done. I'm 5'9" @ 260 lbs. (Large bust, behind, and thighs). I brought a 3X and it fits me perfectly. It buttons all the way. The arm length is exact for me, and I can wear a light sweater underneath. The side belts are ideal for tailoring shape (each side has two button options). The only thing that is not good for me is the location of the pockets - they sit towards the back of the coat which makes them a perfect location for pickpockets to get you. The pockets really should be in front of the coat - they are more like back pockets.

I really like this coat. The material is soft and there is some stretch in the coat. It’s heavy enough to keep you warm in Chicago winter.

Looks fine, but the sizing is very small, at least 2 sizes. Seems to be pretty normal that Amazon doesn't enforce sizing for women's clothing. I can't fathom what it must be like for women to have to deal with sizing that's about as random as can be. Enough is enough.

Purchase refunded. Not coat, just long jacket. Loose in shoulders and too long at the sleeves. Otherwise, nice material, and looked to be well put together.
