It gives me a place to store my headset safely and charges it at the same time. Also I like that the case can be charged with a standard micro usb cable saving me from carrying an extra cable. Plus this was half the price of the Poly version. You really can't go wrong with this.UPDATEYou can go wrong with this. The device stopped charging the headset after a couple of weeks. It is only good as a carrying case now. It carries my Poly Voyager 5200 nicely, but it doesn't charge it. I've only hade it a couple weeks. At first if I moved & wiggled it around it would finally connect, but now it just won't connect with the headset to charge it. I have different ear pieces on it for my comfort & thought maybe that was it, but with the original on and even off, it just won't connect & charge the unit. The contacts inside are in contact with the ear piece, it just doesn't want to charge it. This case will charge up just fine, but won't charge the Voyager 5200.
