It works as well as any other epilator and is cheaper
Yes, it does sting when you use it, but all epilators do. After all, they are pulling out hairs. This does not get every hair, but I have yet to find one that does. My theory is that epilators work on a certain thickness of hair. They won't grab the hairs that are super thin and aren't strong enough to pull out coarse hairs. I have no proof that is the case, but it would explain why epilators fail to remove all hairs.

Great result, I recommend it
I purchased this Remington facial epilator recently and it definitely works well at removing hair. It does sting quite a bit when you use it, but that is expected since it's pulling the hair out. If you can handle a little discomfort for smooth results, I’d recommend it!

GOOD, BE CAREFUL
This works very well, but if you’re not careful, it will pinch and chew your skin up. If you run it over your skin too much.. it remove the hair very good, but I kept thinking there might be more hair and I kept running it over my chin and my cheeks and it chewed up my skin a little bit and left it red and with a rash. But it healed up OK just be careful when you use it, but it works great and for the price it’s wonderful. It’s cheaper than going to have my face threaded and it works just as good.

Mini-totrutre machine
This is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. That cute little lavender "Smooth and Silky" is a mini-torture machine!! Not only did it hurt...a lot...but it did not do a reasonably a good job & it "chewed up" several layers of my skin as it's been 3 days (I didn't press the machine too close to my face and yes, I applied moisturizer) and parts of my face still feel rough and are sore. I have fine skin (not talking about beauty) but I use an exfoliating face wash daily that is a bit like washing my face with sandpaper, I tweeze & "shave" when necessary, so I'm no sissy when it comes to discomfort. I read all the instructions and used it as directed but OUCH! Every circular pass of the rotating tweezers felt like little electric shocks...AND it did a very poor job of eliminating hair...some of the coarser hairs it wouldn't even grab and the longer "peach fuzz" was only hit and miss...sooooo disappointed!!

Yes Pain, No Gain: Pulls hair, but only pulls, not removes
I bought this for my face. The Philips 800 was not doing it...neither does this. Mostly, it does pull the hair, no doubt...but- it does not pull it out; it just pulls it. Not since the earliest Epilady facial has an epilator done a good job. Now, this Remington EP1050CDN...packaged nicely, easy to assemble, but, that's it. It did take off the fine hairs where my lip meets my "mustache" area, but not on the whole mustache, just where it meets the lip. Zero use on the jaw line, zero. It takes a few hairs off the cheeks, but not enough to matter. Short fine hairs left behind, strong hairs left behind, removed a few of the longish, soft hairs. ISadly, taut skin, against the grain, circles, different angles of the epilator head...still searching for an epilator that works.

Godsend. Quick hair removal. No bumps for me.
This was a godsend for me! Detailed review to follow (and note: use it -against- the grain of your hairs!) I took a risk because I usually avoid products with a lot of back and forth reviews but I *really* needed an epilator. As someone with PCOS it has just been so tedious to pluck my chin hairs every 2 weeks and waxing is also a lot of work and so messy. I have around 50+ individual thick hairs on my chin (yes like pretty much a scraggly chinbeard) and this epilator made SHORT work of it in only like 5 minutes, NO bumps! It got all of them! And I never usually pluck my lip hairs but I ran it gently over my upper lip as well and it got all those as well. If you do end up having bumps it's not necessarily an issue of the epilator. If you're not used to plucking or waxing at all and this was your first time? You may get bumps. If you have sensitive skin, you may get bumps. Even tweezing can give you bumps as oddly, this happens to me from time to time with tweezing and -didn't- happen with the epilator. When I get bumps from tweezing it goes away in a few hours. My suggestion before you jump to an epilator is to get yourself used to actually tweezing all the hairs. You'll know what kind of pain to expect and over enough time, it will barely hurt. For me this is the case. Because I'm so used to waxing and tweezing, the epilator didn't hurt very much though it was kind of scary to turn on and use the first time. The epilator did also pick up my extra fine soft thin facial hairs. If it's not picking up these hairs for you, either you're not using it against the grain of your hair (basically if your hair is laying downward, you need to hold the epilator upside down so it's scraping upward) or your hairs are too fine or possibly oily. --Lastly, there is NO reason you should be using this device for an hour! I'm so confused as to how or why someone mentioned that in their review but if it doesn't seem to be working after at least a few contacts with your hairs, don't rub it all over your face for an extended amount of time. You're going to burn the gears out and also possibly burn your face from the friction. In any case this is an amazing and affordable product that has greatly cut down on my grooming time and I would absolutely purchase it again. My chin was completely smooth afterward. In my opinion it was worth the risk of it possibly not working and I'd suggest anyone at least -try- it.

Fantastic!!!
I didn't know about these, oh man, I wish I had! I have been plucking, then shaving chin and lips for decades. After the first time hairs have barely returned and I'm so smooth. There are a few coarse hairs it won't get but easy to pluck those. I also have very hairy arm pits that I usually don't shave them but with this item it's amazingly easy. It takes a while, I have to go over it a few times. I've started using it while I watch a movie and I've moved on to doing my legs. I does hurt a bit because you know, you're pulling hair, but it's no big deal and better than having chin hairs. It does go through batteries so I'm going to get a recharable AA.

Wish I had got a different one !
I bought this one for very fine hairs on my face. I have another epilator for my legs that Remington makes that is awesome. This one is so so at best. It is cute and small and that's about all the good I can say for it. It reminds me of mowing the yard 20 times and still having a few weeds sticking up. Because you go over you face over and over and over and then you get your tweezers to get whats left. If you buy this either buy 200 AA's or amazons rechargeable batteries. It only works with a fully charged battery which last a few days. When the battery is used a bit, it goes slower and misses more hairs and starts yanking at the hairs. Eventually as the battery gets weak, the best I can describe it is sad. If you have thick hair then forget it because you will probably melt the poor thing. So technically it works because it does get some hair. But it does a really really poor job of doing it. I really wish I had bought one that used an electric cord. I also wish I had got one with a bit bigger blade area.I keep hoping this one will die so I can justify getting another one with a an electric cord but so far no luck. I guess in that sense you could say it is well made since I have had it about 6 months so 2 stars it is! Hope that helps! [email protected]

I love it...!
I love it! as someone who has pcos, hair on my chin has always been a problem. this one hurts a lot less than threading (for someone who is used to threading a lot). I have used it only once as it was delivered only yesterday. took about 2 weeks to get delivered as it is imported from the US. The seller (ibhejo) also asked for KYC documents for customs clearance and was also duly submitted. There was no problems getting the product. Product was nicely packed, no damages and is working fine. Does the job of removing hair (used it on my chin and neck area), leaves a smooth finish. picked out tiny hairs too..compact size for travelling. I bought it only to use on my chin and neck and so dont know if it can be used for hands/legs. the product is apparently not suitable for eyebrow hair ( as written on the product box). I am completely satisfied (so far)

Perfect for My Needs
I’ve had a small facial tweezer system for years, but suddenly I’d completely misplaced it. That’s when I decided to try this one. The charge is amazing and is lasting well even with virtually daily use. The plucking/tweezing is good and as long as you don’t let the hair get too long it’s relatively painless. The unit is very easy to hold so you can pluck/tweezer comfortably. The overall quality of the facial tweezer system is good. The performance is really good. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend this facial tweezer system.
