All the bean bags I had growing up had fairly rigid beads. These are softer than packing peanuts used for shipping.--I bought this as insulation for the walls of cat shelters I was making so as an insulation, it works out fairly well.--There does need to be better quality control though. The majority of beads were a lot smaller than the 5 mm advertised.
