We got this light for my wife and daughter to use when sewing/crafting.The two moveable light tubes mean that the light can be directed onto the work area without glare. The spread of light can be extended over a wide area of the table by positioning the tubes so that they form an extended line.The four levels of light intensity mean that it can be adjusted to suit ambient light levels and for comfort. Would I recommend it to a friend? - yes. Could it be better? - yes. I think that the light could be quite vulnerable if it were being constantly moved to different places as the swivel joint between the tubes feels as though it might weaken and the light leds are not replaceable so when they fail (they have a long intended life) then the entire light would need to be replaced.We were already pleased with this light but when I later saw a similar light (it had a table clamp instead of a flat base) on sale at Hobbycraft for £6 more than we paid for this one we were even more pleased.

I bought this light as my sewing area doesn't have great light coming in. As I have an online shop on Etsy @collarsandcuffsUK, Facebook - Collars & Cuffs UK, I do a lot of sewing and it was a strain to see especially in the evenings. Using black thread on black fabric was impossible! This lamp has made such a difference, It illuminates my whole sewing area, making my work faster and more accurate!
