TotalBoat TotalStrip Fast-Acting Heavy Duty Gel Paint and Varnish Remover - No Methylene Chloride or NMP (1 Gallon)

This is some pretty good stuff. I put this on a 1993 Sea Cat power catamaran with two layers of bottom paint, and it loosened both layers up good. The key is to put it on pretty thick, cover it with the cheapest saran wrap you can find and let it sit for a few hours. I put on a thick coat, covered it and let it sit for four hours and both coats came right off. By you a long handled scraper from Home Depot or Lowes and it will scrape right off.

Took off paint from 1994, no damage to the boat paint either. The boat had hand painted letters on it and it took about 3-4 coats to completely remove it but it came off really well. Not much fumes either, I was impressed.

Dried out faster then I thought it would can only let it sit for couple of hours...

did not work AT ALL!totall useless horrible mess it created ,but one thing it didnt do,was remove paint or anything for that matter,worst marine product ive ever put my hands on in 40 years of major marine repair and service..thankfully they refunded me without fighting.what a gallon of crap this stuff is

Exactly as advertised

This stripper worked okay. We had to repeat multiple times to get the paint off compared to other stripper tried where it took 1 time. Only other con is the instructions suggest for it to be covered in plastic where some brands just say to dampen before leaving. A good amount for the price.

I tried this on some deck paint and then some anti foul later. I found it ineffective no matter how thick it was applied. It does make the paint somewhat soft but you are still talking about multiple applications and scraping sessions. I love total boat, but this is a dud.

Used on automotive clear coat and paint. Worked as advertized when other strippers failed.
