Mallofusa Car Engine Dipstick CVT Transmission Oil Level Gauge Fluid Measuring Tool for Altima Maxima Roque Quest Murano

Thanks for nothing Nissan. If you own a Nissan CVT you've probably noticed they don't include a dipstick for checking fluid levels. For backyard mechanics that refuse to take a vehicle to the stealership this is a necessity. This works for our 2013 Altima and 2017 Rogue. According to internet lore, you don't want to leave this in place, but instead check the fluid and replace with the factory cap. So that's what I do, especially since it's shared between two vehicles.

Perfect fit for my 2014 Nissan Altima with the 2.5L engine. The only thing is that you have to take it off and put your plug back because it says that the transmission oil used is corrosive. So i just check the oil level and put it in my trunk for a later check.

The dipstick worked perfectly in my 2014 Altima 2.5 with a CVT3 transmission.

So, I used this dipstick on my 2014 Altima 2.5S and got a dry reading. Prior to measuring, I warmed the car up to operating temperature and moved the gear shift through every gear as is recommended before a reading. Out of immediate concern I put in what I had left in a trans fluid bottle, roughly 8 ounces.When I changed the fluid a few months ago, I was really careful about measuring how much came out and putting the same amount back in, so I felt confident I had the right amount of fluid in the system. So, to test the dipstick, I warmed up the engine and trans and ran through the gear shift procedure again. Then, with the car on a flat surface, I opened the trans fluid overflow bolt and got, you guessed it, about 8 ounces out before it stopped flowing. My impression is that these aren’t correctly calibrated and could be causing people to overfill their reservoirs.If Mallofusa would like to address this with me, I’d like to hear from them. I was genuinely happy they made this “tool” to make up for Nissan’s ridiculous plan of removing the dipstick. I’d like to see this get corrected and Mallofusa make a few bucks off of Nissan’s silly approach.I’d recommend Altima owners avoid these and if you’ve already used it, I’d check that overflow.

Got it for a 2017 Nissan Altima & it fit & worked perfectly. Came in the time it was suppose to.

The length is good for 2015 Rogue SV. I did a check while engine is running. The CVT fluid level is between low and high marks.
