This is a very capable mini PC. On the outside you find a very small foot print that is great for those that have limited desk space. From a port point of view there are USB C ports, which is a huge plus for this PC. USB C is the current standard and you always want a PC to have these ports. There is a HDMI port and a VGA port for those that need to support a legacy style monitor. Inside the PC the storage is the only upgradable component. You can replace the existing SSD and also add a 2.5" drive. The 8GB of RAM is adequate for most applications and nothing I tested the PC with had any memory issues. 4K video files played back no problem. And basic gaming for older titles was good as well. Obviously new AAA games will need dedicated graphics processors that this PC doesn't have so don't expect this PC to match a $3000 dedicated gaming PC. Web browsing, Excel, and Word all were very responsive and with 4K video I was able to have a very nice large, good looking display experience. WIFI was average with about 200 meg performance. If you need very fast network connectivity you should use the included 1GB ethernet port. For those that need a small formfactor desktop for productivity and basic entertainment at a very low price point this is an absolute winner. 5 stars!

I installed Ubuntu on it and it handles all of my automated media downloads using sonar, radar, torrents, usenet, etc...super quiet and low TDP cpu. It just runs. Bought in 2021

I'd kept a Dell Inspiron going for 13 years by upgrading and was pretty proud how fast and powerful it was, even for gaming at HD levels & 2 monitors. I finally decided I had to move on because the fan was loud and non-stop. I work (sales) on a Windows laptop, so this is a second personal device at my work desk. I bought this as I wanted: fanless, cheap, support 2 HD monitors, pretty good sized SSD-disk (256G), good RAM at 8 Gig, Win10, and the CPU speed seemed good. Though I gave it 4 stars, I LOVE IT - surprisingly snappy. I also installed Ubuntu (for secure web browsing, streaming and banking). Dinged 1 star because the internal Wifi is a LOT weaker than it should be. I plugged in the old cheap Edimax Wifi USB dongle I used with the old Inspiron, and wifi connectivity drastically improved - and that shouldn't be the case. This is the main reason I dinged it 1 star. I also wish it had a second HDMI in the space where it has a VGA port. I use pretty old monitors - both have VGA and DVI, but I'd much, much prefer to hook to the DVI with an HDMI to DVI cable. VGA is just too old at this point. But that said, this thing is GREAT and really snappy at Windows 10, browsing, MS Office. What do you want for $199? If the Wifi reception was stronger (should be a LOT stronger) I'd have given it 5 stars. If I had a wired LAN to my upstairs office, I'd be giddy with this.

So far (two months) not bad at all! I was afraid that it will struggle doing basic tasks but it doesn't at all! I needed a quiet (bedroom) mini pc which will act just as a gateway to my remote "big" virtual desktops and my office workstation via a VPN (over rdp). It was doing that great so I started moving some of my regular tasks from remote computers to this one - webbrowser (dozens tabs open including YT and facebook) - not a problem - webex - no problem - outlook with teams - no problem People complain about advertised CPU speed vs the real one but you just need to do a little research. These are "small" cpus designed to use less power so you could have a very quiet (if not completely silent) PC in a very small factor. But even they have a very low "Base" cpu speed, they can still overclock themself when needed (for short period of times otherwise they will overheat since they don't have big and noisy fans) - it's called burst speed. So for example the one I have (n4100) has a basic clock speed of 1.1Ghz meaning it doesn't need much energy just to run basic stuff (stays cool) but when you start a cpu intensive task it can jump to 2.4Ghz so it can finish the task sooner but of course at cost - power consumption and heat. If it gets too hot, it will slow down to protect itself. I does that automatically without, you don't need to do anything. Of course seller will advertise the burst speed (up to 2.4Ghz) rather than the basic speed of 1.1Ghz. That's fine in my opinion. Well perhaps they should say "UP TO" 2.4Ghz instead of just "2.4Ghz". Anyway, on top of that you get windows 10 pro included and that's really cool in that price range. So far I love it, hopefully it will last at least 2 years. I hear that these things can break fast. If mine breaks before 1year I will come here, take off some starts and update my review.

What a waste of time and money. I was really excited about this and chose it after a lot of careful comparisons between other minipcs. It says it plays 4k smooth. That is a baldface lie, as honest as the screenshots of gaming, which you and I both no this isn't suited for gaming. The picture lies about gaming, the description lies about 4k. It will play 4k in KODI, but it is far from smooth *especially* in scenes panning side to side it seems to drop to about 10 FPS. That itself was a real dissapointment, since even the little low power mini ITX machine I built 8 years ago this was supposed to replace performed better. So I haven't been using the HTPC much, cause it sucks. And while it was sitting there not being used, the HDMI port stopped working. I know this is a hardware problem because it's not limited to either windows or linux which are both installed. HDMI doesn't work in windows, or linux, or even at the bios during bootup. VGA still works but that's useless to me as a media PC on a 4k tv. On the plus side, HDMI worked for at least long enough to get past the return window. So what do I do with this frisbee now?

Originally bought this to use as a media hub and server. Gave to my 9 yr old son because he had been saving up for a computer and he mainly wanted to play simple games on it. I told him not to expect to play any AAA titles on it, but we could download some games and test them to see if he wanted it. Played Minecraft at 60 fps, with all settings set to minimum, still looked great and the processor handled it very well to my surprise. Same with Roblox, and realm of the mad God. Games that aren't too graphically intensive and right up a 9 year olds alley. Streams 1080p flawlessly and no issues on the pc's part. Will try and hook up to 4k later to see if it works as advertised. Bluetooth and wifi connections worked perfectly (wifi -60 ft from router). Will probably get another one to serve as my media hub/server, because I'm very satisfied with it. Anyone in my shoes, looking to buy for low range gaming, this works fine. I've seen all the questions online about looking for a cheap pc that can handle those type of games, so hopefully you come across this and see that it will fill that gap.

Makes a decent inexpensive HTPC box. Components dated, but functional. - Graphics HD600 does good job on 1080p HDMI videos & sound. - Celeron N4100 - 4 cores clock independently from 800MHz - 2400MHz - ok for HTPC, kiosk or web-browsing - slow for anything else. - Box is silent, but runs hot - in a 68F room, CPU idles 50F-61F and hits 72F+ under load - Has 8GB DDR4 memory, but only 2133MHz, not 2400MHz - Intel 180GB M2 SSD is SATA 3 and TLC - better than eMMC, but only average on Read speed - below average on Write speeds. - On-board WiFi is 2014 model Intel AC-3165 (1X1) and AC maxes out at 433MHz, not 1300MHz ChuWi claims (why didn't CW use a AC-8265 or AC-9260 card??) U can use $20 USB WiFi stick to hits 867MHz or faster, but shouldn't have to. CONS - ChuWi introduced HeroBox in Jan 2020, but shipped with Win10 Home v1903 image from an older model. Had to setup, update to Nov v1909 Windows, then update that. Not fun with the old, slow built-in WiFi - Only came with the basic MS version of Intel Graphics 600 driver - had to download from Intel to get full driver with Intel Graphics Control panel that handles overscan/underscan adjustments & scales Desktop to not bleed off TV screen. - Despite advertising "GB LAN", the wired connection will not connect better than 100mpbs. The MB chip is capable of GB, and identifies as such, but no combo of RT drivers or settings will activate it. It is not any problem with my cables, switches or routers. Six other computers on same cable will hit GB fine. It is a problem with the HeroBox. There are multiple complaints here and on the manufacturers forum - so far no response from ChWi. UPDATE: Would add another CON after more use. The "Passive/Silent" cooling is inadequate for extended use. I purchased the HB for a HTPC/Video server. My intention was to install 1TB SSD in the bay and load it with videos for streaming to devices thru out the house . What I found was that during HD video playback from the additional SSD and using GPU decoding, the CPU/GPU temp slowly rose. Watching for 45 mins, the CPU temp would go from 40s C to 70s C. To me, this indicates the cooling design is not keeping up with thermal output. Watching a 90+ min movie without any break to let the cooling recover will take temps into the 90s C. Beyond that, the CPU eventually goes over 100C and thermal overload shutdown occurs. Also tested with video loaded on the M2 drive & nothing in the SATA bay - the temps climbed more slowly, but still to alarming levels. (additional 2 1/2" SSD/HDD mounts under motherboard CPU position and blocks any CPU heat dissipation by radiation. Any heat from the SSD being constantly used only makes problems worse.

Cute little mini, the onboard graphics are abysmal but suffice for basic 1920x1080 desktop work but can barely drive a 4K display for anything beyond picture slideshows. Not unexpected for this pricepoint. Wouldn't even try using it for a game setup but would probably do OK for a 1080 media PC. Realtek ethernet and wifi adapters, Intel audio and graphics work in recent Linux and FreeBSD, tested with FreeBSD 13 and Ubuntu 21. Is a decent standalone unix desktop or small KVM/bhyve host. VMware ESX 6.x did not want to boot on it, didn't try 7.x. Windows 10 install was surprisingly clean and did not have any bundled spyware or random vendor bloatware. Customer support was also helpful. However with current firmware (late 2021) the variable speed chassis fan is pegged at max RPM and can not be adjusted which makes it noticeably loud, would need an under-desk mount or such.

I connected it to my LG TV and works perfectly fine. Speed is good and I recommend it if you don't have much to store and work on windows back ground. I would love it if it comes with more bigger SSD.

I am impressed at how great the video is in this little pc. I streams at 4K. It's small and light perfect to mount behind a TV. I highly recommend. Edit: The headphone jack is recessed and can make plugging headphone /speaker jacks a problem. Please, make the speaker jack flush with outside case. Otherwise, LOVE it.
