I ordered quality 2AWG copper cables with 3/8" lugs, since this was the largest size I would need. The system worked but I was disappointed that I could only get about 1300 watts out of the inverter before it would trip. I had researched that inverter tripping was most likely due to either undersized cables or improper lug size. It was the lugs that were getting me, Breakers have 1/4" studs and my batteries had 5/16" and the monitoring shunt required 3/8". Once everything was cut to length and properly lugged my inverter easily sustains its rating. These crimpers although not professional grade do a nice job. I probably will rarely use them but they made good solid crimps that can handle the high current demand. Good value for the money. Review: Great set! - Used it to cut through 1 guage car battery wire. Cut through it like butter. Also light enough to use to strip the ends so I could splice. Crimper works good as well. Both easy to use with little effort which is important because I don't have much strength in my hands.

Great set!

Good But...
The crimp tool is trash. Can't even stay aligned on the setting i put it on. But the cutter is good. Luckily I already know which crimp tool Works best from amazon, i just thought I'd give this a try since I need the cutter anyways. The cutter cuts through 1/0 gauge easy and leaves a clean cut. Definitely need to sell the cutter as a standalone

Not worth the money
The wire cutter works great, cut through 4 AWG wire with no problems. However the crimper doesn’t work as advertised. I put die’s at 25mm for 4 AWG wire and after crimping the wire pulled right out. I than tried one die at 25mm and the other at 16mm and wire was tighter but still could wiggle and twist. The third time I used both 16mm dies and crimp was really tight but very ugly crimp. Crushed on one side and crimped on other. Would not purchase again.

Crimping tool damages the cable
Crimping tool is junk. The crimper’s jaws are misaligned, and it damages the cable.

Neat tool that does a good job. Makes a nice solid crimp!

Good tool
Works pretty good. The cutters arent bad but rust easily. They are sharp still. The main thing is the crimpers which work amazing. Redid wires and ends,on my truck and these made it a breeze.
