Hi, the way I clean mine is to unscrew the filter from the long post with the Lid on it. It breaks down into 3 sections. The lowest is the face plate, second is the filter mesh and third is the plate that has the spring round the outside. Rinse under tap to clean then dry and rebuild.. Very easy. Hope this helps.
