Makes great HOT tea or coffee in the room
Over the years we have used up several of these on overseas trips. We take our thermal cups to make instant coffee or tea in the room, since few restaurants serve decaf. This one is sturdier than most. Works great and fast on 220v. It's a little slower on 110v, but still gets the job done. Best to use a metal cup and unplug it immediately as soon as the water starts boiling. DO NOT USE WITH A PLASTIC CUP! (We take water from the hotel bathroom faucet, run it through a GRAYL GeoPress Water Purifier Bottle, then use a metal or glass cup for the heater. Never had a bug from the water.)

Great Heater Element! Makes coffee on the go so easy!
I bought two of these, and they work great.. They take about 5 mins to boil a cup of water. These are highly portable and take up very little space in your bag. Very easy to use, make sure you add enough water to cover the element. TIP: use bottled water and you don't need to boil it and will save time. Great for the price,

It is not 600W
The description says it is 600 W. I tested it with a Killawatt and it draws only about 150W. I guess this is the same kind of device that is sold as 300W but it draws that much power only with 220V. When you plug it into 110V (half voltage) you get 150W (half wattage). It seems to work fine. If all you care about is bringing a cup of water to boil and don’t mind waiting 5-10 mins, by all means, this is a good device. If you really care about the 600W power, look elsewhere.

Probably best for countries that have 220/240 voltage
The quality is fine but this heater is dual voltage, meaning it will work with an American 120 volt socket or a European 240 volt, but you'll need a simple adapter (not converter) depending on what country you are going to. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because on 120 volt US electricity, it takes a LONG time to boil a cup of water.

Save your money
Never worked. It would start to heat and then shuts down. It didn’t come with instructions. The one that I had before you just plugged it in and put it in what you were heating.

Terrific!
My very English Grandmum would not travel without one of these! Lol! A cup of hot tea was a must and access to boiling water was not accesible at all hours in hotel rooms years ago. I was delighted to see this item exactly as it looked save for the cord as I remember it from many years ago. It boils water quickly and works perfectly! Not meant to be used around children as it can cause a severe burn injury if not handled with proper caution. Other than that, it is a gem from the past! I give it a Pinkies up! 🫖☕️🇬🇧🇺🇸
