Although all the members of the household have smartphones and tablets with access to an online family calendar, I found that too often important events were not being consistently entered. With kids, this has resulted in more than one "emergency" situation when suddenly some supply/outfit/present had to be procured. After enough of that nonsense, I bought this old-school paper weekly planner. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best!This planner shows an entire week when laid open. It has lines for 7am-6pm, but we rarely use those specifically. Each day has enough space to scribble something like "Baseball game" or "Dad flies to Atlanta" or "Timmy's birthday party" or whatever. When I have an accompanying document for the week---the party invitation, flight itinerary, game tickets---I just slide those papers on the same week. The planner is big enough to include a lot of notes but small enough that it doesn't take up much space. There are extra pages showing a full month, notes pages at the front, and pages with other useful reference material at the back.This is the ONLY solution that has given us household calendar success. The kids can quickly grab a pen and jot down a note for their slumber party, I can make sure vacations from work and no-school days are shown, and the grownups can easily see and resolve conflicts before chaos ensues. This planner stays open on a specific workspace in the kitchen where everyone has access. No excuses! Even the kids understand that if they want something to happen, it has to be written in "The Book."

I use this to track mileage for my business, it is a nice size to stay in the door of my car and works well for its purpose. I would not use it as a planner if you have a lot of things on your schedule because of the small size; but it works great for me!

I made an oopsie. This is a Collegiate calendar...I don't need one of those- I need to read the descriptions a lot closer! LOL

I bought this as a gift, so I cannot really review it. It is one like I used to use when I used paper calendars!
