Sony RMF-TX500U OEM Remote Control

This worked right out of the box! Dog chewed up original one that came with the tv and this worked well right away!

Thank you Karma Electronics! After my original Sony TX500U remote was chewed by my dog, I ordered a supposed “original manufacturer” NEW replacement for $55 from another vendor. It NEVER paired with voice command and stopped working completely after 1 year. For less than half the price, I purchased this original Sony remote from Karma Electronics.Included in the package was an easy to follow set of directions to pair the remote, along with a business card offering a simple way to contact the company if I had any problems. I’m thrilled to have voice command again. I highly recommend Karma Electronics.

I originally purchased a knockoff which was incredibly a piece of junk but it did start performing better once I went through the menu options of the device preferences on the TV the Sony Bravia, Model KDL-52XBR7, and it would perform double and triple clicks when you press on the okay round button and you had to really press hard to activate any of the buttons to activate the function. Very frustrating to use and today I got this one which is an actual OEM version of the Sony remote that my TV came with it was brand new not used but it did not come in the Box it came in a little plastic bag did not include the batteries however this thing performs like a jewel but don't forget you need to go reconnect the new one through the device preferences and then remotes and accessories and then you click on remote and then add a new remote and when it prompts you to you hold down the volume button to turn it down but continue to hold that while you press the Google speaker microphone activate and button and then hold it for 3 seconds and then you'll see an orange light blinking and then you can let it go and it will connect and it will work fantastically just as the original I got with the TV when I purchased it. I made this a long review because it's very frustrating buying some of these things from Amazon and they come from China and they're not original equipment although Sony's original equipment is made in China, go figure. Before you know it the United States is going to become China in all forms and Fashions if you don't watch out and vote for the right party

This was the worst remote I've owned. The remote was in a default sleep mode that meant you had to press a key to wake it up before it would function. The microphone would not enable in TV settings. The remote had to be pointed directly at the TV to work. Finally, the volume key would only function when pressed hard. The remote was only 14 months old. I purchased this particular remote because it appeared to be an authentic Sony part amongst many knock offs. The back of the remote always looked cheap to me and I doubted it was up to Sony's standards. I was looking for a replacement for a Sony Z9D but the original remote was discontinued. I just purchased a knock off and it works great, including the microphone, sadly it doesn't include a direct button to access TV settings that the original one did. Also, the new remote was a lot cheaper than the so-called original Sony one.

This remote worked right out of the package. However. It didn’t work right. The voice control didn’t work and the power buttons didn’t work very well. We dealt with it for months. Then I had the bright idea to try to sync it to the tv as in doing a little bit of a reset in a way. Once I went into settings and synced it to the tv the proper way it works perfectly! So learn from me, don’t just take it out and start using it without doing the proper steps.

We purchased this remote to replace the original one that came with our TV as it was identical in size. It is a great replacement. The only down fall is that I don’t feel like the sensor is as good as the original. It requires you to be in just the right spot to change the channel and etc. It is compatible, connects fine, performs a little slower and sometimes not as easy to function due to the sensor sensitivity however, I would still repurchase if needed.

Was easy to connect, it came with instructions and took one minute to connect it, it came on time and in great condition
