Review: Fun science book! - I cannot recommend this book enough. Absolutely love it for science for my third grader. Simple concepts. Simple science experiments. Very fun. Not overwhelming yet engaging. Review: Good book, with interesting facts to engage for learning - Great book with enough interesting facts, and pictures to engage the kid in reading, and learning about science in general. I like how they break up in small chunks so itโs easier for the kid to comprehend and remember what he just read. There are enough pictures for illustration and not too much. Sometimes for kid to read through science, you canโt simply write too much because it can be overwhelming for the kid to remember and still have any interest in continuing reading. Of all the science workbook that Iโve browsed through here for 3rd grade, this is the best. I also use this to teach our kid to learn ways to retain and remember what he reads. I think itโs an important skill not just to read, but to also find ways to make sense and remember cool facts about the world around.

A Fun Science book
This is a wonderful science book that does not feel overwhelming and teaches my children so many fun things! They look forward to it each day. The price is great and I love that its not overwhelming and has so many different things to learn about all in one book! Highly recommend!

Educational
As many other reviews stated, about half this book is dot-to-dot activities rather than real science work. BUT it is also quadruple the number of pages as most science workbooks, so that doesn't really bother me. I let my kiddos do one after each days' science work; it's good fine motor practice anyway! The actual science portion is great; it is informative enough that I need few supplemental materials and no textbook. I was a certified PreK-6 teacher before homeschooling, and this book is better than most of the curriculum I saw in public schools (for a 10th of the cost). My kids are 5&6 and are both completing this without trouble. Lots of experiments that are simple to complete with things you've likely got at home. Plenty of reading material that will spur further questions. We're using it as our independent work portion for the curriculum I built, so I just assign pages based on what we're learning. I imagine it'll only last us a few months, and it doesn't have all the topics I plan to cover, but it's worth the price just so I don't have to spend so much time making worksheets. Wouldn't recommend it as a SOLE resource for science curriculum, but a great base for planning or additional resource.

Kiddo Science made FUN!!
My child loves this science workbook! Even though it's a bit above his reading level, he's captivated by the engaging pictures and experiments. The information is fascinating and easy to understand, and he especially loves the dot-to-dot exercises. We've learned so much about reptiles, weather, birds, plants, and more. It's a great way to spark his curiosity and interest in science. Get some.

Single Parent Homeschoolers Rejoice
I use it as a full homeschool science curriculum for my 8 yr old. As someone who used to spend $40+ per book per subject, I find that these books do just the same (if not better) jobs as pricier curriculums. I only wish that the School Zone brand went past 4th grade because we are not a fan of Gold Stars. If they made a science for a 4-5 grade I would definitely buy it.

A bit basic but great nevertheless
A bit basic but great nevertheless. I would target this at 5 to 6 year olds, rather than 7 to 9's myself.

Good Science book
I bought it for my 9 years old. He loves science and reading books. In general really like it. One small comment if number of theory questions are more before practical questions.
