value, value, value or mention it impressed me,good design.
I went as I often do with reviews, and do what I did, as I read the 1 and 2 stars reviews, discount them. This thing is price for lunch two at Panera. I am happy with the purchase, I did replace the rack screws with Middle Atlantic rack screws, the ones they sent not good, but I have bought hundreds of dollars of stuff from IKEA and replaced the hardware. Someone wrote in a review the rack was threaded wrong, to that I would say, try the Mid Atlantic rack screws with washers, the washers comes on the screw have used them for years. Granted I have been around this stuff a while, and carry stock of these and other items I tend to use often.Take a look at the customer photos, they show a person with two of these racks set up in what I take a home studio enviornment. Smart guy, these racks are that good of a deal. If I had the floor space I would go with more of these myself. But with space at a premium I have to shelve up.For those who are interested in erecting this with out the angle, as another person wrote, just use two of the screws get a square (and or level) and there are a number of ways you can make it secure. My choice was I took 2 - 8" pcs of rack rail and tied the two pcs to the frame as I installed a 2 U, shelf, the rail I added, went behind the one on unit. You will find the bottom holes will not line up but the rest will, so I have 1 screw holding an Tripplite Isobar power supply on either side, its not going anyplace. I allowed some air space and installed the shelf with the 4 screws, the shelf I used is rated @ 60 lbs., I tested it with an item of 50 lbs. and the rack afterward was still true and square enough to install a 40lb. $1000.00 pc. of equipment on. My total on this rack will be @ 75- 85 lbs. and thats fine. This rack I am sure is good for the rated lbs., would I use it in a professional setting? The answer is no, for the home for the garage band set its fine. Would I use it on the road, not really, I am probably going to install some casters, but that is going to be to install some cables or cleaning purpose. Now I mentioned I had the rack screws on hand, I also had the pcs. of rack rail I mentioned, and I also have casters on hand, my point here is this is not my first rodeo, and this $30.00 rack is a good value, add the cost of rack screws and rack rail and still under $50.00. And hats off to Amazon Shipping, they did a great job insuring it got here safe. If I put casters on this I will follow up.

Sturdy product + AMAZ8NG CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!
UPDATE: I bought a few of these racks 7 years ago for my Cisco network equipment. They are sturdy under what is sometimes near a 100 lb load of equipment and have never failed me.Recently I lost one of the thumb wingnuts that hold the upper support bar to the frame. I am not some large volume customer, so I emailed the company asking if I could purchase replacement bolts. They said they didn't have the bolts available separately at the moment, but as a courtesy they would offer me warranty replacement for free. I thought they meant the bolts.I sent them the required photos on a Monday, thinking I'd receive the replacement parts via snail mail or cheapest shipping method in a few days. TUESDAY I RECEIVED AN ENTIRE REPLACEMENT RACK - THEY OVERNIGHTED A FULL REPLACEMENT RACK TO ME FOR A SEVEN (7) YEAR OLD PURCHASE. I was floored! Not only are the products durable, sturdy, and last (there is absolutely nothing else wrong with the old unit except for the missing bolt(s),) but this is the kind of customer service that you don't forget. If your business relies on your equipment, this is someone to buy from. They stand by their products, and will get it fixed overnight if need be..I will ABSOLUTELY be buying more if their equipment for my network, IT and Ham Radio projects in the near future.Thank you for amazing customer service!

Almost perfect
For some reason, bent pieces of metal that are sold for network gear are outrageously expensive. This item is the exception. While this is listed in Amazon's "Musical Instruments" category, it seems that based on the reviews most are using it for home labs, which is what I'm doing too.The item comes packed in a long skinny box. As usual, Amazon ships in boxes about twice the necessary size. No complaints though, it was Prime eligible which is cool. There are 4 main pieces to the rack - a left and right rail, a top rail, and a rear rail. Also included is a Post-it® note size set of instructions and a bag of mounting screws. Putting the rack together takes no more than a few minutes. The quality of the rack feels sturdy. I've got 7 pieces of equipment on it right now and it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. The 1-star deduction comes because of the mounting holes. Some of them don't seem to be drilled all the way through, which requires really muscling the screw into the hole until it takes shape. Out of the 28 screws I put in, I'd say about half had this problem. As other reviews have said, if you're using this for switches and routers, you really only have 11 spaces due to the backward angle that the rack has for stability. I've got a router on the 2nd space from the bottom and the back of it nearly touches the ground. This doesn't warrant a further reduction in stars since I was aware of this issue before I bought it. I may see about using this for a rackmount power strip or something.Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase. It's extremely well priced, is nice and strong, and fits nicely under my desk.
