The handle was a rather a slack fit to the hose on Miele C1. I used some double sided carpet fixing tape inside and it now seems to stay attached and be air tight

Gave 3 star as it is not fit for my purpose.. I should have paid more attention before purchasing. But ad said fits all S series so had bought it.My vaccums (S5281) flexible pipe has a detachable round ring with two small protruding plastic bits. The idea is the plastic bend is meant to have two groves or holes for the protruding bits to slot in so that the flexible hose stays connected and intact with the plastic hose bend pipe. Unfortunately the bend pipe does not have those groves.It is a good sturdy product but unfortunately nor ideal for all S series. So do double check before purchase.
