The 721 offers 10ppm sensitivity to detect combustible gasses. Easily operated with one hand, leaks are pinpointed using the audio and visual indicators. An adjustable "tic" rate helps eliminate background gas concentration in contaminated environments. Good gas detector
This was very useful when we had some leaks in the natural gas supply to our stove & oven.I ended up turning the ticking noise off, as it was very loud and wasn't intuitive to me on how to use it to help pinpoint the leaks. I expected it to change from a slow ticking to a fast ticking based on proximity to the leak, but the ticking seemed to be fast all the time, and adjusting the thumb-wheel seemed to only make it even faster, not slower. Maybe I was doing something wrong - I don't have prior experience with these kind of detectors. But watching the numbers on the display, along with the red warning light, provided all the information needed.It came with batteries, and the batteries were even pre-installed. This gives me the favorable impression that the detector was hand-tested to verify it worked, before being shipped out.

Too sensitive.
The ppm reading is highly innaccurate. Highly sensitive, sounds like the worlds going to explode when a soap test barely registers. Eats batteries faster than Robinson Crusoe at a buffet.
