Neato Robotics Brush Motor Belt for the Neato XV Series Vacuum Robots

Excellent replacement beater brush belt. Great fit!
Online Resources:google for neato XV-11 teardown. Sparkfun, the RobotShop and Youtube have some excellent articles and videos. I recommend viewing some and using them to gauge if you're up to the task before starting your teardown.Tools/Resources needed:- #1 or #2 Phillips head screwdriver (magnetic head suggested) Recommended 2-4 inch length. 2 of the screws by the wheels under the silver stickers are hard to get without a longer screwdriver.- small needle nose pliersRecommended:- small screw organizer (keep your screws with labels and numbers as you should be careful to put the right screws back in the right order). I just used a piece of paper and documented the teardown.- small blade or knife (just in case you have hair stuck in various places, you might as well clean it out)- lubricant (grease, teflon, wd40 where appropriate)- thread locker (LocTite 242 blue or purple should do fine)- small brush or toothbrush to get dirt or grime outWithout watching those videos, it's hard to estimate the time and difficulty to get to the belt area. Please watch before attempting.Tricky parts:-Touch Sensor levers: be careful when reassembling that the touch sensor levers are not pinched or oriented in the wrong position. You'll see when you try to put it back together. If they're out of position, the touch sensors won't work or they will be too sensitive.-Main PCB ribbon cable, the cable locking mechanism is very finicky and may not grab hold of the ribbon cable well. Make sure you have pushed the ribbon cable all the way in (and hold it in!) before engaging the locking mechanism.-Wheel removal: You may not have to remove both wheel assemblies, but I did just because it was easier to work with the rest of the chassis with the wheels off. Remember the two touch sensors for the wheel assemblies and makes sure when you're reassembling them, that there's no dirt or dust that can impede the working of the wheel touch sensors.-Proximity sensors: clean out all the dirt and dust in and around them as dirt will most likely have accumulated on the lenses and the outer housings.-Screws: make sure you label and number your screws. Most screws are the same, but there are a few that are different and go in strategic places. You have been warned! Also, don't over tighten any of the screws especially the two screws holding the belt guide housing to the belt drive motor. They should all be about hand-tight. On the outer housing screws, those can be less tight. If you're worried about them falling out, use the temporary loc-tite thread locker (don't use the red one. all the others should be alright for this application).-Optical surfaces: remove dust from all optical surfaces including the LIDAR unit while you're in there.I originally got the XV-11 through woot.com for about $175 refurbished. When I disassembled it, it had a gigantic fur ball wrapped around the main drive motor for the beater brush belt. So when the beater brush started, it went from very slow and accelerated very quickly and it ended up tearing right through the original belt. Freeing up the beater brush and lubricating the bearings also significantly reduced the start up resistance.Though I may complain about having to take the neato apart almost completely to get to the belt, it highlighted items that needed fixing, cleaning, lubricating and dusting and now overall, the neato runs significantly quieter and longer on a single charge. You can have a conversation in the same room while it's going and not have to yell. The cats are no longer scared and sit on the couch with the neato running underneath it.Our 6.5 year old XV11 is now running smoothly. Thank you Brandon!

The most complete kit I have ever seen.
This product is great. The battery on my Neto had died after several years of use. What I ordered came with everything it took to complete the overhaul of my machine. Cost was reasonable too.

how can this be replaced
My Neato is out of warranty, so I tried to take my Neato apart to replace this but some screws are stripped and I can not get them out. Part is ok. Would have been great if I could have gotten the Neato apart.

Good Replacement Belt
Good fit for my Neato XV. It has been in there for about two months of daily use, and no problems at all.

it's not too bad to replace the belt on a neato
it's not too bad to replace the belt on a neato. the only thing that's tricky is finding all the screws (under sticker ;) ) when you disassemble the robot vacuum cleaner. otherwise not hard to do. (no need to unplug the little plugs on the circuit board or taking wheels off) just batteries ;) good luck!

Fit perfect and worked.
It fixed my vacuum so I am happy. Part fit perfectly as it is the same brand as my vacuum.

Perfect part, slow delivery
Would give 5 stars but the delivery was very slow. Not an easy part to replace. Have to almost totally dismantle my Neato XV Signature Pro to remove and replace this belt. However, my robot is zooming around like new again now.
