I had a Tiger rice cooker which makes very tasty rice, but it’s a bit small (3-cups) and old. In order to replace it, I tried many other rice cookers, mostly with Fuzzy logic, some of them even have induction heating, but none of them can produce the same taste as my old Tiger until I got this high pressure cooker. This Cuckoo cooker is much bigger and is versatile. The build quality is great! Most of all, it produces great rice that competes with the rice you can find at high quality restaurants! It’s a bit pricey, but it’s already much cheaper than many other brands with similar functionality. Absolutely worth it! It’s easy to clean, 40 minutes of cooking time usually. Super easy to use.

I purchased this rice cooker after having issues with my Aroma rice cooker, which often left my rice either overly mushy or dried out when left overnight. This rice cooker has exceeded my expectations and created a new standard of fast cooking and fresh rice for longer periods. I was considering a Tiger rice cooker during my search but this Cuckoo model was recommended to me by a Korean friend who strongly prefers the brand. Although this option was slightly more expensive and slightly larger even though they had the same rice capacity, I ultimately chose it due to the additional features it offered. The cook times are also excellent, often completing in under 30 minutes, which has been a major benefit. While I wouldn’t recommend leaving rice on the ‘warm’ setting for more than 20 hours, I have done so on more than one occasion, to which the rice still maintained a fresh texture and taste, which speaks to its quality. Only complaint I really had was the expectation of the “singing” features not being available on this particular model. As I said above, my Korean friend who recommended it spoke highly of the Korean singing and talking his cooker did so I was really disappointed when I turned it on and there were no “jingles” lol… When the only complaint is that this rice cooker doesn’t sing to you, I think that should tell you all you need to know! There are no real complaints! Just a minor, non-issue expectation not being met. Overall, it is a reliable, high-quality rice cooker that delivers consistent results, and I would definitely recommend it. 10/10!!

When we got married over 30 years ago, we were given a rice cooker. It was the 1st I ever had, and I loved it. It lasted a good while, and we bought another. That one didn't last long. We went through a lot of rice cookers that weren't very good or died quickly, so I did a lot of research and bought this one from CUCKOO. It makes the best rice I have ever cooked at home. Setup is simple, and the rice comes out perfect. It takes a bit longer than some of the other cookers we had, but the end result is worth it. It seems very durable, but so did some of the others we had -- time will tell. I guess I will update this review if we have any problems.

This rice cooker is very expensive compared to what you can buy for a lower cost competitive option. It is definitely worth the money, and although the rice takes a while to cook, it’s perfect every time. It is far better than our old lower cost option. Our testers would never go back to the less expensive competitive model.

This item cooks rice very well and for the price it is a steal. In stores the price of this item is almost double and I feel like this product was exactly what I wanted. The only issue is the cooker is huge and I feel like my japanese rice cooker is better than it.

So far, it is my favorite rice cooker. I ve had many brands but this is my 4th cuckoo, and am so glad I purchased this one. Not too many unneeded options. This one is legible, can see the markings in the rice pot it's white and stands out from the black finish of their pots. Most of them are all black and I can't see anything but this one! No problem !! Bought as a used item as were all the other purchases I've made on amazon, very minor scratches on heat pad in cooker that's it, it's perfect condition works well and easy to use!!, 10 cup cooker is bigger than I would like but quality for this price, hard to beat!!! Seals incredibly tight, great water catch (big) well thought out in design and configuration had similar unit but this unit is superior to 5 qt unit I had returned, so glad I did. Lid doesn't fly up with force as the other units do when opened. Better visibility of controls and it comes with a rice paddle holder. Now if they could include retractable cord and a lid that doesn't jump out at you ! Japanese models are better optioned in that regard. I think it would elevate their user friendly critics. Japanese rice cookers seem more detailed in user functionality and ease of use! For me it'sa 10 +++ Unit is 18 lbs I believe, so it is well made !!! Very happy with this item!!!!!!! Highly recommend

Highly disappointed in the performance and quality as well as the longevity of this rice cooker. I purchased this rice cooker in 2023 and in less than 3 years, the heating element broke and the rice cooker is now inoperable. I also have another rice cooker that I purchased back in 2015 of a well known Japanese brand and it’s still functioning well after 11 years. Keep in mind I only use it just for the pure purpose of making rice and this cuckoo one did not live up to the hype. Overall it’s is an overpriced product for just a bad functioning rice cooker. You have better luck paying the same price or a little less for a better Japanese made one.

Rice taste good and also good for stew beef or bones for saving a lot of time.

La olla de presión funciona perfectamente a la altura del Valle de México, hasta el momento lleva una semana trabajando sin problema, el menú de selección es el más básico para este tipo de ollas pero suficiente. Veremos como se comporta después de un año de platillos preparados.
