2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 rough idle troubleshooting
Installed on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 to troubleshoot rough idle and stalling. Couldn't order MOPAR as it is discontinued but installed this as a replacement(53030821AB). Previously installed a cheap $11 TAMMKEN IAC which didn't clip into place, would idle rough in cold/hot/rainy weather, and finally gave out after 1 year warranty was up. After installing this part, test drive went well with AC on high blast, in Reverse, and idle. Noticeably ran much better. If you're handy, can be done in an hour. For easy access you'll need flathead, torx bit, and socket wrench. Unplug battery terminals and clean while they are off. Push IAC nipple in before install. Unclip(4) air intake filter housing, flathead screwdriver to loosen the intake hose connection, unplug 1 inch engine hose and another flathead to loosen the air intake housing, unclip 3 engine cables, remove 1 bolt to pull off the intake housing, unclip 3 sensors, and 4 more bolts(same size) to remove the throttle body. Lastly, 2 torx screws to remove the IAC sensor. Make sure it is installed in same direction(clip side facing driver's side). Reverse directions to put back together. Make sure gasket for throttle body is centered, can push in throttle body valve once installed to make sure its not catching the gasket. Will update review later on this year to see how durable the part is.

Fit perfectly and works as it should!
When installing make certain the plunger is pushed Al the way in so it will start in the cold start mode. Easy install! Perfect fit and functions as it should.

works as should
Works as should but would rather have a Mopar factory part.

Great product, good price.
I replaced this part on my 2003 Jeep TJ in about 10 minutes and it fixed my throttle lag off a dead stop. It also cost about half of what they wanted at the auto parts store.

Excellent product, at a fantastic price
Excellent product, at a fantastic price. Auto parts stores wanted 3 times the amount i paid for it on Amazon. My Jeeps idle would drop down to 500 RPM while i was at stop, for lights, stop signs etc. So i did some research and found out i needed to change the Idle Air Control Sensor. It was easy to install and only took about 20 min. to do so. The old one was the original, and had 157,000 miles on it. And the old one was worn and pitted. Now my Jeep runs great without any idling problems. Thanks for a great product at a fantastic price.

Waste of money
Sad to report this has failed after 3 months. I had hoped it would last nearly as long as the Mopar one I put in 10 years ago. But it lasted about 40 times less. Bummer.

Perfect fit solved the idle and start up issues
I have had high rpms at start up and fluctuating rpms at idle for a while now so I bought a cheaper IAC. Needless to say it don’t fit right and it didn’t solve the issue leading me to look for vacuum leaks that weren’t there and this part solved in 5 min both issues I’m a complete idiot for not shelling out the money for the dependable part.
