AG Hair Volume Plastique Extreme Volumizer, 5 Fl Oz

I debated on buying this. I have one of their products. Curl effects or something and I can't tell what it does so I was hesitant. But my curly hair needed volume badly. Teasing it or ratting it just falls out. Plus it's soooooo expensive. But I'm glad I did! I love this stuff!!!Definitely adds volume. BUT and this is a big one.......be careful. This stuff is in a toothpaste type dispenser and is equivalent in consistency to water. And you don't need that much but what do you do with all the product in your hand? Can't waste it. It pretty much shoots out of the tube so pay attention. I should know, I've squirted it all over twice now because I wasn't paying attention plus I have a ton of curly hair and I'm use to dumping alot of product to cover it. At over $20 I can't afford to be wasteful.

One of the many insults of aging includes, for me, thinning damaged from coloring. I would describe it as being "feathery" or like having a dust-bunny texture. Not good. I've tried many products with great reviews on Amazon, but wasn't impressed with either the scent or what it made my hair feel like (crunchy or greasy). This product smells great, eliminates the "fuzz" and makes my hair shine again. I mean, it looks like I have the real hair of my youth! Anyway, I never plan to run out of it. Ever.

This is the best volumizing hair product I've ever used! I have very course thick (not dense) Asian hair (med/long) and nothing else I've tried works this well. Also, unlike may others, it adds shine instead of giving a matte finish. Per the AG Hair web site, mixing in a little hair oil (like U Oil or a Morroccan Oil) creates a pliable hold. I've also used it alone and it isn't crunchy at all. The consistency of the product is like a watered-down gel, and you wouldn't expect something like that to do what it does! The fragrance is light and non-lingering (I hate fragrance). Finally a volume product for thick course hair! Also, I really like the pump dispenser as it makes it really easy to control the amount used. Plus you can lock the pump if you need to take it with you. I wish more salons carried this specific product, but for some reason I can only find it on Amazon.

Why had AG discontinued making this product it’s terrific. There is not another product out there like it?

The smell alone will keep me buying this! This is my first time buying AG plastique, and so far I’m liking it. There is no stickiness, no stiffness, no drying! It adds just the right amount of texture for styling my medium length pixie cut. If you’re looking for mega volume and thickness, I’m not sure if this is the right product? But then again, I haven’t tried it on longer hair, which it may be really great for because of the smooth, “no product” feeling it leaves in your hair. I should try it on my daughter’s long, curly hair to find out. For my hair, it is the perfect amount of thickness and texture, that doesn’t make my hair feel overly caked with product. I’m very pleased with this product, and I would definitely recommend it. A little goes a long way, the smell is amazing, my hair feels fantastic, and my style lasts.

The product is great, what received was kind of bait and switch.

I have used this product for years. Cannot figure out why it is SOOOOO expensive. Last time I bought this product from a supplier in Victoria for $9.00 less. Should have bought more when I had the chance.

I have bern using this to style my very fine textured hair for years, and just love it! Buy two and save the shipping!

This was supposed to give volume to my fine hair. Sent it back.
