Urban CoCoWomen Long Sleeve V-Neck Velvet Stretchy Long Dress

I bought this dress for a fall wedding and got so many compliments. I ordered a 2X - I'm 5'9" and 180lbs, fit was perfect. Velvet fabric was very nice quality and color was true to picture. Sleeves were perfect and not baggy, dress fell just above my ankle. I turned the dress inside out and steamed lightly to get shipping creases out. Great value for the price, order it, you won't be disappointed.

I was impressed with the richness of the royal blue shade and soft, warm, feel of the stretch velvet. Amazon had suggested I order a Small in this dress. But because I always wear a Medium in dresses, I got M instead. Perhaps Amazon was right. I'm returning to size down. At 5'6, a curvy 137 lbs, 34D bust: this was loose in the sleeves and shoulders. It also touched my feet, like a gown. I'd hoped it would be tea length, just above my ankles. If the Small is a good fit, I will get it hemmed.

This dress is gorgeous, and I'm so sad that it doesn't fit enough in the chest to keep it. I bought a large and it fit beautifully except for at my chest. It came up very high on me and the band that's supposed to go underneath the boob part rode up at least 3 fingers worth onto my boob. (I'm 5'2, 175 lbs, 38F). If your chest isn't especially large or is on the regular/small size I think you'll be happy with the dress. The color is really pretty, the length was perfect, and the material was soft but thick. I'm only rating it 4 out of 5 because the chest part fit so poorly on me.

I am 5' 9", and the dress was too long (around Ballerina length) to wear for the my sister's daytime, Christmas week wedding, and it was too short to wear as a gown. I shortened the dress about 4" so it would be Tea-length on me. The V-neckline provided way more coverage than I was comfortable with, so I pulled back the front of shoulder area, about 4" below the shoulder seam, and I tacked on a ribbon of crystals, which allowed the stretchy fabric to transform into a Sweetheart neckline. The dress looked stunning, especially when my husband twirled me around the dance floor! After the wedding, the dress needed to be cleaned, so I placed it in an extra large zippered mesh laundry bag, and washed it with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle in cool water. Then I place the dress in the dryer on a low setting, for about 10 minutes. The dress was almost completely dry, so I hung it immediately to let it air-dry the rest of the way. I have worn the dress a second time to a New Year's Eve party, and have again successfully washed and dried it. I am extremely please with the style of the dress, the fabric, and especially the color.

Purchased the green and color is spot on. Lovely dress that feels very expensive. Lightweight fabric that has a lot of stretch, not stiff. The waist is flattering and how it sits and draps. Top part is modest and I have no overflow of cleavage which is appreciated. Might buy1 more color in dress to keep for events. I'm 5'6" and around 165lbs Purchased size large. I live in Southern Arizona and this dress will be great for every season but summer.

I'm 5'4", 35-28-39, with shoulders wider than hips, long and slender arms, high bust, short waist, fairly narrow ribcage, a disproportionate amount of my weight carried in the hips and buttocks but not thighs. In knits with this much spandex I usually take a women's small or medium (long sleeves, XS or S (short sleeves), XS (sleeveless). An empire waist that's fitted through most of the torso looks great on my kind of figure. Reading the reviews, I decided to get a medium, a size larger than average for me.But... after putting this dress on, I couldn't grab enough fabric on the upper part of the sleeve to rotate it into the right position. Yup, it was that tight. After much struggling I finally wrestled the sleeves into position and looked in the mirror -- great from every angle, with substantial fabric, and rich, flattering colors (green and wine red each look nice with pale olive skin and dark brown hair). However, the waistband rode up over my bust when I raised my arms -- and stayed there. Hilarious.So yeah, I'm exchanging it for an XL (same size I usually need when buying non-stretchy tops) but I'm concerned that the fit in the waist will be terrible and that my ability to insert back darts won't be up to the job of handling a thick knit fabric like this. Fingers crossed.(Dress is awesome enough otherwise for me to give a much larger size a try. I may up this rating to 4 stars if the XL manages to be flattering on me despite the huge-for-me waist measurement listed.)-----Update: Inserting back darts (look up "swayback alteration") did help in making the dress conform nicely to my ribcage. I got a lot of compliments at the holiday party I wore this to!However, my housemate, who pinned them for me and volunteered to do the sewing so I could get some sleep, took a bit of poetic license with fabric type and left me a note: "Was up until 3am removing cat hair. Never let this touch carpet. Kitchen floor is swept and probably the safest place to put on/off. Perhaps avoid the Satan [sic] Fabric in the future unless an automatic hair remover is included."A little unfortunate since this company's scoopneck/princess seamed version of this dress in wine was already on its way to me, but a point well taken -- you might want to skip the velvet garments, at least THIS velvet, if you own two long-haired cats, if you haven't already figured such things out for yourself :)

The dress & colours look just as advertised! I've ordered the purple, green & royal blue. Beautiful dresses, soft material with a bit of stretch and are actually long. Very comfortable!

This dress was a very pretty colour, made of quality stretch velvet and fitted like a glove. I bought a large size but found it to be very flattering on my shape. Very happy with my purchase.

I was very surprised how beautiful this dress is. It washed well, i hung it up to dry. It is stretchy and comfortable and looks lovely. It is really long, im 5'7" and it skimmed the floor, but I was wearing low shoes. The style is flattering on apple shape. I woukd like another color too. I got so many compliments!
