Bright Idea Vitamin C Brightening Face Serum - 1 Fl Oz - Long-Lasting

I’m 67. Have oily/combination skin. Love this product. The price is great. I went back to my $80.00/ bottle of serum and determined I couldn’t tell any difference between the two. So glad I did a comparison to know I was getting the best value! Cha Ching! And my skin looks brighter and feels “nourished”

Definitely recommend. The feeling of this is light and smooth. Makes my face so soft! And the smell is a bonus. It smells like vanilla orange cycle - it smells soooo good!!!!

I have spent hundreds of dollars on small jars of creams, solutions, oils, and serums over time. But I keep coming back to Bliss skincare products. They work and they don't break the bank. The Vit. C Serum does brighten when used consistently for a few weeks. I notice a difference. I love the disappearing act. It amazes me how it does soften the look of skin so I see my eyes and mouth, not wrinkles, poors, and old skin. And my favorite-est is the pumpkin powerhouse. Every time I feel like my skin is rough and tired, I do this mask and it becomes so soft and feels clean but not parched the way many masks are with clay in them. Something about the pumpkin really helps. I wish they'd bring back the in the honey mask too. That was just like baby's skin in a jar! I'm in my 50's now and use it more than I did in my 20's when I first was trying to take care of my skin. I kept thinking, more money means it's better - it's not!

I bought this to use each night on my saggy neck skin and fine lines that are appearing around my eyes and lips. The first night, no problems, but the next night I developed an itchy rash on my neck. Now, I use it every 2-3 days. Pros: •very lightweight •consistency somewhere between a gel & a serum •lovely refreshing mandarin orange scent •cools the skin a bit immediately after application •dispenses with an easy-to-use pump •a little goes a long way •skin feels really supple about 30 minutes after application Cons: •may not be good for daily use if you have sensitive skin •no noticeable differences after a few weeks of use Not sure if I will re-order. That delicious citrus scent is absolutely lovely, though.

I rated this 5 stars back when I first purchased it, but didn't write a review. I immediately fell in love and got another one, and have purchased it now 4 times, 2 bottles at a time. It's one of the few skincare products I've actually repurchased in my almost-35 years of caring for my own skin. This actually works. And I mean, for me, the brightening is immediate. It also softens like nothing I've ever tried. The scent isn't overpowering (maybe something mildly-but-neutrally fruity, like papaya?) and dissipates very fast. I love the texture/consistency, and it layers well under everything else I use on top, but it's hydrating enough on its own, over just toner followed by moisturizer and/or sunscreen. Now, here's where I've just had to come and write a review - and explain why it's 3 stars from me now: The packaging changed from the solid-color plastic bottles, to a frosty glass bottle in whatever color and all blue tops. We all know a pretty package mentally effects your perception of a product - it's science. So, when I ordered it for the 4th time and got the new bottle, I was not only disappointed in its look, but it looked like a smaller bottle. I mean, it is *technically* a smaller bottle, but it looked like it was holding less product. However, knowing I love the product, I obviously got past it. I think it's still the same serum, I don't have an old bottle or box to compare ingredients, but it feels/smells/looks the same. It still reads 1 oz., and it's so hard to say because the other colorful bottles were thick and had a larger footprint than a standard one-ounce clear glass dropper bottle. This is exactly why, when I start a new product, I write the date on it somewhere - I want to know how long I'm getting out of a product to see if it's worth it for me, and just to remember when I've opened it for expiry. I've had to give up a product I loved (this actually is replacing it) because I only got 3 weeks out of one ounce, using it only 3-4x/week. I couldn't afford that if I wanted to. So...the original (to me) plastic bottles lasted me over 5 months (very often closer to 5 1/2). 5 bottles in a row, I'd consistently gotten *at least* that long out of each of them. I've been on the new bottle for just under 2 months (started 6/02, today is 7/25**) and I'm more than halfway down. Ummm, whaaaaa?? (And, as of last week, I've stopped using it every day because I couldn't afford its full price right now and I didn't have the backup bottle I thought I had.) I literally only have about a month left. So now I'm getting only 3 months from a bottle??** Someone's lying about something here. (**I finished this bottle on 8/20, so I didn't even get 3 months out of it.) I've just reordered again today - potentially for the last time - only because (it went on sale and) I really, really don't want what's in black and white, right in front of me, to be true. (Story of my life, amiright? lol) I'm seriously hoping I've overused this somewhere and just don't remember somehow. But I'll tell you what, I'll never pay full price for this now, whereas I would before. If I had only ever gotten 3 months out of it, fine. It's a moderately-priced serum that works - wonderful. But someone's done something shady, and that's what I'm particularly P.O.d about. I'll absolutely update my review after I start on my next glass bottle and report back.

It's early days yet of using this serum, but so far, I am impressed with how it makes my skin feel. I'm a "mature woman of a certain age", and it's been a revelation as to how this Bliss serum is giving me a sense of renewed vitality to my skin. Am hoping that this rejuvenation effect will continue to improve my skin over time. The serum lotion is lightweight, and a little bit goes a long way. I use it on my whole face, avoiding the eye area, and also on my neck. There is a bit of a residue feeling, but that also supports the skin tone improvement effect. I've certainly tried other options like Retinol. This Bliss serum feels better to me than others, so I'm going to keep using it and hope for even more positive results.

I purchased this product based off an influencer video I saw on TikTok. I am 55 years old & have never had a negative reaction to a product before. I am 100% sure that this product caused my reaction, whether it be from harsh chemicals, contamination or an allergic response. Although I avoided my eye area, the skin around my eyes got swollen, red, dry & cracked. The first episode sent me to the ER because my eyes were almost swollen shut. I had gone thru 2 bottles of this product before I reacted. When I was in the ER, the doctor wanted to know if I used any new make-up or skin care. The answer was no ... so I didn't initially make the correlation. I was sent home with steriods & told not to wear any make-up or skin care until the reaction cleared up, which took several weeks. When I reintroduced make up & skin care back in, I did it one by one and just wore the basics. 4 months later, I added this Vit C serum back in & within 2 hours of application I had the same response. Buyer beware ... I looked horrible & my 2nd reaction was worse than the first. I emailed Bliss & their customer service was a huge disappointment! I even offered to send the product back so they could test to see if something was wrong with the bottle or if they wanted to test for contamination. They had no interest in getting the product back to further determine the problem. I have since discontinued using any skincare products by Bliss and my skin has improved exponentially. Don't waste your money on this product. If Bliss didn't care about my reaction based on the photos I sent, they won't care about any other negative feedback either. I am guessing I either got a contaminated bottle or that they changed their formulation without any notification.

my skin loves it. it very light and not greasy sinks in and my skin feels lovely, smooth and soft just bought my second one

Nice and light texture, lovely and fresh citrus smell, does not tingle skin, well absorb.

It’s a nice serum, pleasant orange smell and easily absorbed. Leaves skin soft. Not sure if it has much of an effect on my skin texture/brightness so if you have a specific skin problem I’d probably go with a higher % concentrated vitamin c. I like it but I will probably try a different product once it runs out. Also quite pricey for what it does.

Smells nice and goes on easy but sometimes my face burns after using it and I haven’t seen much of a difference in my skin (bottle is almost empty)

+ It's silky texture glides well and leave my skin plump. With consistent usage will get rid of pigmentation. It sits well under SPF. - A lot of product left at the bottom of the bottle as pump is too short to reach and the only way to get it out is to open the bottle -potentially risking contamination of product.
