Great Stability & Comfort
This is a really good running shoe. It is an update of the Wave Inspire 15. I’ve worn the 15 & eventually wore them out. I prefer this new version. It’s not vastly different but there are definite improvements. The Wave Inspire is a “Stability Runner” – made for people who pronate/roll in & need a bit more support. That’s me. These shoes work well for keeping my feet steady. It’s accomplished with the double wave plate that you see in the sole. It gently “bounces” your foot back instead of just holding it stiffly out. I like the feel but some runners prefer that more stiff feel from other brands. The soles are the same as the 15’s – good & durable. The 15’s took me thru many miles & held up really well so I expect these to do the same. The 16 feels softer than the 15. It not a huge difference but it does feel softer & more cushioned. I tend to hit the ground hard so I like this small improvement. The upper is new & is made of a seamless, double-layer, mesh fabric. It breathes really well, is supportive & very comfortable – this is a definite improvement IMO. The upper of the 15 was the part I liked the least. I have a small bunion on one foot so I could feel the seams after a few miles. I don’t have that problem with the seamless 16. And I have to mention, these are gorgeous running shoes. I love the color & look of theseThese have a very good heel fit – Mizuno is known for that. These hold the heel steady & feel great. The fit is pretty much true to size but if anything, it runs maybe a half size small. I have these in 8.5 & that is my usual size. These fit comfortably & I can wiggle my toes in the generous toe box. I usually wear thin socks so the fit is fine. It would be slightly snug with thick socks. The insole is spongy & removable. The laces are not too long & they stay tied. I hate really long laces so that is good IMO. The tongue is padded. The tongue is the one thing I’m not wild about. It is thick & it is sewn into the inside which leaves a bit of hump over my small bunion. It doesn’t hurt but I can feel it. I’m thinking about snipping the edge off the tongue in that zone. It feels great on my other foot with no bunion.

Great for Shin Splints
I purchased these new shoes to help with shin splints. I have started jogging again, and I need extremely good quality balanced/supportive shoes to fight back against leg pain. I also have Hoka's, and I much prefer these shoes. Will be buying them again!

Sized smaller now?
I don't know if its just my feet but I have worn this model for years...with the newest upgrade (to this specific number) my usual size was too small. I usually run/walk/jog in my old MIzunos, ordered same size was way too small. They did replace with next size up, but now a bit too big :( I'm wondering if they changed sizing to account for the waffle texture having maybe more stretch (so they downsized it). I dont know but I'm bummed because I've worn for years and now they are sloshy in the larger size :(

Walking shoe
This is a good walking shoe for those who might have more pain in their heel. The heal is elevated with support. However, their is more pressure under the toes when walking or running over 3 miles. It’s not noticeable at first. The shoe does have support and is comfortable but not as good as my ASICS runners, so I end up not wearing them as much. I think trying more supportive socks for the toe area might help. I recommend going up 1/2 size for these. I wear a 9 and bought 9.5.

Buy them a half size. I wear a 7in half but the 8 in better for me. My feet sweat.
I always buy mizuno wave inspire 16. Or the Brooks adrenalines. They feel on my fit comfortable on my arch support.

Size Up
Bought these because they showed up on a list as a good stability shoe for runners who overpronate. I usually run in Brooks Adrenaline. These are lighter than the Adrenaline and less supportive, but still good for short run days. I typically wear a size 9 shoe, but these are just a little too snug. Not enough to return them, but I wish I'd gotten the 9.5 or 9W.

Disappointing, runs small, flat arch
I ended up returning these - a size 9B fits the same as a Saucony 8 1/2 Narrow. Was looking for some super squishy shoes because I think I have a stress fracture and want extra softness. While the sole, the heel in particular, is very cushioned, the shoes weren’t as soft and comfy as they looked. Also, I have relatively high arches, and these are really flat in the arch - but if you switch out the insoles, there isn’t enough space in the shoe. For the price, I didn’t want to have to experiment with arch supports to get a good fit.

Order larger size - These shoes are really tight, run small
I love Mizuno's and have never had a problem with them. These however run small and have a tight feel. I wore them around the house for three hours to try them out and they were comfortable on my heels but the stitching on top was so tight that my toes started tingling, I loosened them thinking I may have tied them to tight which helped a bit but the seam still rubbed the top of my foot. Like other users I feel like these are shorter and more narrow than past Mizuno shoes I have worn.Return

Trainers too tight!
Very disappointing as they were far too tight.

Perfect
Arrived in perfect condition. I have worn Mizuno Wave shoes before and loved them. These were exactly what I was expecting. They are a beautiful colour (which in a corrective shoe can be difficult to find) and fit perfectly. They were slightly snug on my first wear however they do stretch out and on the second wear were perfect.

Bye bye Nike
I have used Nike Zoom Pegasus for running, since I have high arches. But this shoe is another level of arch support and stability! It has kept me off plantar fasciitis and runner’s knee. I am a convert! Bye bye Nike!
