Perfect fit as a replacement for Valtera or LaSalle-Bristol 3" valves.
Bent the rod on the handle of my Black tank valve. Did some research and found that the LaSalle-Bristol valve is "all-in-one "no user replaceable parts, while the Valtera valve, the cable and rod are replaceable if you damage them, Ordered this Valtera valve as a result of that observation (the $40 +/- savings was a factor as well!) Pulled out the old valve and cable, found it was LaSalle-Bristol, installed the Valtera, perfect fit! When installing, watch your placement above/below wires and piping, reducing wear points is a worthwhile endeavor. It was raining a lot when I did the replacement, so I did other tasks. Would take about 2 hours from first cut in the underbelly to the final tape and foam rodent seal. Would definitely recommend this valve!

NOT a universal replacement-major bummer
Received the two valves-brand new/perfect condition, in a few days, tnks Amazon.Upon opening the package it became obvious that I most probably had a problem due to the size of the valves and a call to the great people at Valterra tech services confirmed things. The cable valves will only directly swap into another Valterra install so we were regrettably out of luck-tight up against both tanks with not a single mm of available piping in case I were to goof up with the 'socket saver'.If you are considering using the TC372 valve I hope it goes well for you, the product is really that nice, and simple even with the horrible documentation provided in the box ! The Company desperately needs to do an on line vid on a complete installation of the cable product, from start to finish.....

Easy to operate
I'm 66 years old and was really tired of bending over & getting on my knees to open and close my black tank drain while flushing it. I installed the remote control handle within a few inches of my black tank flush hose fitting. Together with a small digital water meter I am able to close the valve put a certain amount of gallons of water in the tank and then pull the valve without bending over. I put this on in an addition to the factory installed gray water drain and black water drain on my camper. I like this so much I may buy a couple of these for the other valves.

Grand design owners read this
The valve is NOT a direct replacement for grand design campers, but works fine. Our 2022 23LDE required trimming the sides of the black tank flanges to allow the valve side pieces to slip over the flanges. It’s easy enough to do with a utility knife, just needs to be done before the valve can be installed. The cable length is good also. Tip: empty and flush the tank before you start and raise the front to keep residual water from draining out.Regarding the reviews mentioning the gaps on the side of the gate valve, that’s the way it is supposed to be. The rubber gaskets cover the gap and seal completely. If it’s leaking, the seals are not properly installed.

A little work for perfection, but worth it!
I bought one of these in 3", and one in 1.5" so that both tanks are covered. Not difficult to set up. The key is to have everything laid out before you start. Also, knowing where these go, be sure and get yourself a good breathing mask to fit over your face and nose. Protect all exposed skin.If you can, get a full face plastic face mask.Rubber/latex gloves are a must. You want to rinse these tanks thoroughly prior to replacing them.In addition, most of the cables on these are going to be far longer than you need. I built a small box enclosure (Because I am a Full-Timer) set the cables up to go through the floor of the box and out the top. You will likely have to cut a portion of the cable to prevent kinking it. Prior to actually hooking them up, I took a can of white grease with spray top and coated the cables and connectors with it. I then took a small propane torch (The kind where a hand sized bottle of propane screws onto it, and it has a piezo lighter built onto it) And lightly warmed the length of cable until the white lithium grease melted down into the cable. Fasten the T handles to the top of the box, leaving the amount of spacing the manufacturer specified and hook them to the pull slides. Night and day difference!

Absolute Garbage – Cost Me Time and Money! ⭐
This is by far the worst product I’ve ever purchased! The valve is made from cheap, low-quality materials, and the rubber seal was completely useless. At first, we thought we had installed it incorrectly, but after hours of frustration, we realized the rubber was already dried out straight out of the package.Even after applying special silicone grease, it still leaked. In the end, I had to hire an RV technician at my own expense, who confirmed the seal was dried out and unusable. He replaced it with a fresh o-ring, and only then did it finally work. This wasted my time, my money, and my patience. Selling a product in this condition is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company!

Stopped the poop
Did what it was supposed to do..stopped the poop from leaking past the valve. I will say, I had to replace gaskets three times...my fault. Do not over tighten the four bolts. Hand tight and maybe a 1/2 to full turn...then try it. Still leaks tighten a tick more. Great valve

Wrong bolts
Mounting bolts are the same as factory. Will not mount extension housing. Had to buy bolts separately.
