IKTCH 30 inch Built-in/Insert Range Hood 900 CFM, Ducted/Ductless Convertible Duct, Stainless Steel Kitchen Vent Hood with 4 Speed Gesture Sensing&Touch Control Panel(IKB01-30)

You need an outlet installed behind your range hood for plug in option or hardwire. I opted for the plug-in. I needed an electrician to install the outlet because I originally only had an under-the-cabinet range hood that was hardwired. I purchased this 30in range hood to fit in a 36" decorative range hood cover. Easy installation for someone who is good with tools. I had sanded plywood and 2x2 lumber lying around so I routed out the rectangle for the face and used the 2x2s as instructed in the directions to keep it secured and prevent it from dropping down. How it works: - the range hood has the ability to be completely off where there is no power (you won't see the blue power symbol lit) or in power on mode (blue power symbol is lit). It will not function by manually pressing buttons or by using the remote unless the blue power symbol is lit up to indicate that the range hood is powered on. - light has one setting: off and on. It does not dim or get brighter - fan has 4 settings, 1 is low, 4 is high. - range hood is either ducted or ductless. Comes with a exterior cap if you use that option or a carbon filter than gets installed on the right side of the interior of the range hood. The directions explain that the range hood is going to be louder if you use the ductless option. I opted for ductless to avoid cutting through the wall. - the remote works great in close proximity or directly facing the range hood. - the two vents at the face can be removed. Pull the tab to release the tension. Place the vent back in the slot with the tab pulled, press it into place, then push the tab back to the original location so that it's flush and not hanging.

Powerful fan, works great for my “always cooking” husband. Installation was slowed by being unable to locate the connector for the vent duct. We did finally find it inside the unit, but had to contact customer service first. Would help to put a notice in the install instructions. Otherwise, installation was easy. Very happy with the unit.

After 1 month of use the fan makes a clicking noise on high. The company reached out with suggestions to fix the noise. I am very happy with the customer service I received.

Kitchen 30 in range hood works great between unit buttons and remote BUT the motion sensors do NOT WORK. Turned the fan on to make sure that it was functional before install but forgot to check the motion sensors. Didn’t realize that it didn’t work until hood was already installed. Average noise level. Good strong fan. Timer has 9 minutes max and sometimes is not enough time to remove strong food smells. Functions great minus the motion sensors not working, hence 4/5!

Our exhaust fan was just installed last week, and took a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to make the hand controls work (tip — swipe your hand quickly below the sensors rather than slowly), but so far I love it and it’s working exactly as it should! And I love the additional lighting it provides over the cooktop work area! It looks very high-end and streamlined. I did have a couple of questions about it and reached out to customer service. Emma from IKTCH has been so wonderful in helping resolve the issue and following up to see if installation went well and if we’re happy with the product, which we definitely are! So I’d give an additional 5 stars for the amazing customer service!

We are renovating our kitchen and waited a vent that we could hide inside a cabinet. This did the job! Great suction, very powerful, fit perfectly inside our 30 inch cabinet. The machine is def loud but on the lowest setting the noise is not terrible. Not hard to use but the touch less option is not great , sometimes it senses your movement but most times not so much and the light option works to the touch sometimes other times you have to press it several times before you can shut the light off . The remote that this comes with is probably the most effective way to operate the vent.

I purchased the IKTCH 30-inch Built-in/Insert Range Hood (900 CFM) and have been extremely impressed with both the performance and design. The suction power is strong enough to quickly clear smoke and cooking odors, and the noise level is lower than I expected for such a powerful unit. The sleek stainless-steel finish looks great in my kitchen and feels solidly built. On top of that, the support I received from Emma was exceptional. I purchased this hood for a renovation. Good performance. There was some issues with the light but I contacted their customer service and the problem was solved by Emma who was very helpful.

We purchased this unit in 2021. We travel away for a number of months each year and knew that this unit should have lasted longer. I had some trouble finding the company but once I made contact with Emma, i had all the help we needed. Emma sent me some replacement parts and I had an appliance company install them. We now have a functioning rangehood again. We very much appreciate the service help from Emma. Emma communicated well and kept me informed on the parts being sent. Emma even did a follow up to make sure the unit was repaired and in good working order. You don't see this very often anymore so I was impressed.
