We have a drainage problem on one side of the house. We had drains created years ago but over the years they’ve silted in. When it rains, which it has done more often than usual this year, we end up with standing water on one corner of the house. Coincidentally we’ve noticed that mosquitoes are a much bigger problem this year as well. Until we can have the drains dug again, we needed a temporary solution to the mosquito problem. They seem to work for mosquitos. I did notice less but once they start to breakdown, the water gets murky. I do like that the water is safe for plants.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:These things are a MUST HAVE during the summer months, or any month you spend time outside! I don't have any standing water, so I make my own in a small bucket with water and a little yard waste. I only use a 1/4 of a dunk at a time and they work like a charm killing the larvae and thus limiting the amount of mosquitoes in my yard/house. These last at least a month and I don't have to worry about covering myself in smelly bug spray. It is a great value for what I get in return: a backyard that is safe to spend time in!

I was a little skeptical, but I needed to try something. My 2 year old would be bitten at least 3 times or more in less than 10 minutes being outside. My wife also was getting bitten when working in the garden. I placed buckets approximately every 100 ft along the wooded perimeter and some around the house. Within a day there was a difference. I was amazed. My daughter could be out for long periods of time and no bites. This product is very effective. It could not be any easier to use. I do not know the full life cycle of these tablets. There are many factors of how much rain and sun that can impact how effective this type of product can work. I can say it has been over a month, and they still work and most of the tablets are still intact.

I have a small area of flowers and hostas outside the entry door by my garage. Previously, I could not water these plants without being attacked by mosquitoes. We're using them. Don't know yet whether they work, but this number of dunks will last us a LONG time if used according to the instructions. If they keep the mosquitoes from breeding, then they are certainly worth the price.
