Best toaster ever!
I’ve had a few toasters over the years, but never one that can produce a perfect slice or toast every time. This model is fantastic and consistently gives excellent results every time, whatever bread you use. Love the bagel feature too, not used it myself but my son has and loves it. Price is more than other similar 4 slice toasters, but this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. Glad I bought this one.

Adjustable heat
Nice looking item. Because it has been made to accommodate bagel toasting one side of my toast is never as good as the other side. Didn’t think it would have made much difference but it certainly does.

Well thought out design
The size, colour and design are subjective so I will only comment on the practical functions.I have no negative comments about how this machine toasts. The best functions and design features are as follows:1. The slots are 32mm wide so cater for thick hand sliced bread.2. Standard Warburtons bread fits in (sideways) and toasts evenly all over.3. The slide control is easy to use and allows you to remember your preferred number for toasting level.4. There is a lift up function to allow the toast to be inspected without stopping the toaster; really useful.5. There is the "bagel" function that allows one-sided toasting, which is great for toasting burger buns et al.6. The LED light on the start/eject button serves as a practical reminder the toast is ready if you don't hear it click up.7. The best thing by far is the high lift function allowing small items such as crumpets to be removed without the need to dangerously use cutlery to prize the items up. For my little ones the potential to burn fingertips has now significantly decreased.Expensive I suppose for a toaster but it is assembled in the UK and parts are available. For the features mentioned above, I think it is worth the high price.

Great Set! Well worth the money!
I keep being ridiculed by people when my wife tells them how much we spent on a toaster. They quickly change their mind when they use it! It's an awesome toaster and ridiculously, does toast bread better than cheaper toasters, I can't put my finger on exactly what makes it better but the general consensus is that it does. The peek functionality is a great addition and the bagel setting works perfectly.Kettle is very good, solidly make and boils quickly.

Burns Bottom of Bread and Tripps Fuse box!
Not worth such an expensive toaster! First use the bread burned at bottom within a few minutes causing really bad smoke (lucky got it out before caught fire and I'm fire phobic!). Very bad and strong electric smell coming from it and it Tripps my fuse box. Will be getting returned!

How all toasters should be.
The Domus toaster is everything that many 2 slice toasters aren’t. - We tried one that was incapable of accommodating a slice from a very widely available UK loaf - pathetic! What’s more that toaster was more expensive than the Domus ( which isn’t cheap but is good value)It’s well made and feels solid; it’s large enough to take most commercial sliced bread without leaving acres of the slice unbrowned; it has a toasting scale of 1 - 10 which works from 5 as it’s starting point, so you can lengthen or shorten the toasting cycle depending on the freshness and nature of the material you’re toasting. It is consistent, so same setting, same degree of toastedness, time after time. The toaster has bagel and frozen buttons. Two minor niggles - it has an annoying gulley around each toast slot that collects toast crumbs and is difficult to empty, and the bright metal slot surround also tarnished quickly from the heat. These are very minor niggles and pale into insignificance when you’re faced with perfectly even, consistently cooked toast.Viva Domus!

Not as good as they used to be!
I have had the big Dualit toaster for 20 years, and it’s been great. Loved the quality, loved the toast! However, you can’t use just two slots and an element has gone so I thought I would buy another Dualit but one that can do just 2 at a time - What a disappointment! There was an area on two pieces of toast that never got toasted, I found the slots smaller than I was used to, so part of the slice always protruded. However, I was able to return it, hassle free.
