LED vs bulbs.
They are a direct replacement with out,the heat or battery drain. I had already used a set this year camping & was so impressed that I have now replaced all bulbs with LEDs. 19 of them. I bought extras but may never need to replace any due to their long life. I found this was the best price for this brightness.

They're good bulbs! One of mine came broken though :(
I bought these bulbs to replace the taillight bulbs in my Datsun 280z. I only needed 4 but I figure I can buy a 10 pack and be ready for the next time I need to replace them. Overall the packaging was more than enough to keep the LED's in good shape, however, it seemed one came broken. Not too big of a problem since I had more than I needed. They seem a tad dimmer than some of the LED bulbs I've had in the past though. Overall, not a bad set of bulbs for the price, I would buy them again If I had to. It certainly beats spending $16 on two normal bulbs that last a year.

People with newer cars will have issues, classic cars will not and here's why....read on
The plain facts: Tp keep it simple, these bulbs are wired in a way that will interfere with the wiring on newer car systems in a major way. You might get lucky and install them one way and it "might" work, but most likely as you see in the reviews they will not. Tis is especially true for higher end cars due to them having sensors that detect a bulb out. Now, if you throw these in, lets say, a 1970 Buick they will work fine. They will in fact work in almost all older cars WITH A 12 VOLT SYSTEM. Yes, I had a buddy try these in an older classic running 6 volts.... comical story...As for defects, most are toasted by the installer in the newer cars "probably". I did notice a defect rate and it would be nice if the manufacturer offered a replacement for these. They are build below standards in my humble opinion but the ones that are put together right do seem to work well IN OLDER CARS.I hope this helps clear things up.

Not one single bulb bought worked in this size
Of the 10 1157 led bulbs I ordered zero work. I'm a busy guy fixing others stuff. Ordered these for personal. Out of q10 I thought maybe I needed to rewire a few sockets. Finally got time to do so and led bulb in socket no bulb works anyway I turn it. As electrician that has led lights in my shop i understand the one way the diodes work. What I don't understand is the fact 10 bulbs and absolutely none work. I even broke a brand new led bulb apart to see if my meter was lying. Nope and in order to make the bulbs I have work I have to completely rewire the entire jeep to positive frame to make these work. Kinda pissed. I thought I'd give it time. Now no return deadline has passed. So I have to eat the cost. Bet you next set of 1157 led bulbs I will check soon as I get them. Fixing to head to autozone to put the icing on the cake and spend $40 for 2 bulbs that fit exactly as they should in 1157 socket. It's not hard to comprehend. But evidently the paying customer is screwed in this situation

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR TAIL LIGHTS
Not an upgrade as a tail light, they are not as bright as incandescent bulbs. Another problem, they fit loose in the socket causing them to flicker,For mobile home interior lighting, they may be fine. The price was cheap, but a disappointment nevertheless. The attached picture shows the difference between this LED and a generic 1157 incandescent. The left bulb is the Hotsystem led 1157 white, the right bulb is a generic 1157 incandescent bulb,
