Elitea Supreme Jasmine Tea Dragon Pearls Balls Silver Needle White Tea Loose Leaf (20 Sachets 3.5oz)

This is a very special tea, an experience that I really was not expecting. I don't know a lot about teas, only that up until recently I haven't really wanted to drink much tea. I have to cut back on coffee because of my osteoporosis, so I've been exploring lower-caffeine alternatives like green and herbal teas. The stuff you buy off the shelf at the grocery store is pretty ghastly, though, in my opinion.Elitea offered me this tea and a bag of their daily green tea (reviewed separately) in exchange for my honest review. Unlike the green tea, which is bagged loose, this tea is packaged as 20 "sachets," pre-measured amounts of the little pearls of tea suitable for a serving (which can be refreshed several times). You can see from my photos how much one sachet is, both dried and brewed for a minute or two.I was unprepared for how marvelously scented this tea is. What starts out as interesting little balls unfolds into very fine end tips of tea with the most heady jasmine scent you can imagine. This is not a tea for gulping down while you're doing something else. No, it is to be lingered over, to disappear into, to take a flight from the everyday into a peaceful, blissful space. Think a long, slow soak in a fragrant bath...a mindful walk in fresh air after a cleansing rain...a meditation on all that is beautiful in this world. That's what drinking this tea is like.If you are entertaining and want to give your guests a special experience, you can't go wrong with this tea. Put it in a glass tea infuser, watch it unfold, and escape your cares for a while.

I was first introduced to Jasmine White Needle tea using the TeaPosy brand blooming tea balls. A good Jasmine tea will instantly smell like Jasmine when you open the package and the flavor will be very light and floral. A good Jasmine is delicious both in smell and taste.I have to tell you, this one does not make the cut for me.I had specifically searched for a white needle Jasmine tea and this one had great reviews.When you open the package and find these little packets, you should be instantly assailed with a strong Jasmine smell. Instead, it smells like a bitter green. Not very appealing if you are looking for that Jasmine smell.As for the flavor, it’s there, but so subtle as to almost not be there at all. I really had to look for it. Like, I had to unfurl the leaves and try to smell the Jasmine inside the used leaves, and even then, it’s not really there.So overall this was a good experiment. I had purchased this one based on the overall reviews of it having a strong Jasmine smell and taste. Maybe I got a bad bag, but it really doesn’t smell or taste like this at all. I have to wonder what everyone else is tasting or maybe I just need to stick with the TeaPosy Blooming Teas.

I have ordered this product several times, because it was the best jasmine tea I found. That all changed with the batch having expiration date 6-10-21. This tea looks different (fewer, larger tea pearls) and there's no jasmine scent at all, it brews up just as an ordinary green tea.I had come to think that ordering from Elitea meant ordering from a company that controls for excellent quality in what they sell. But I have learned the hard way that they are not enforcing quality standards; they can not be relied on in this way. Mostly good, but not consistently good --- and that's disappointing.

This is a good product. Strong jasmine flavor and medium good tea quality. I enjoyed the tea a great deal.

I always enjoyed going to my local Thai restaurant and having unsweet jasmine tea. I have been looking for a long time for the same type of tea they had, and have tried many products in my journey to find this "perfect tea". Well guess what? I finally found it! This tea is great! I drink it hot or cold.

Good flavor. I use a full sachet and use chinese brewing method to get 4 or 5 steeps per sachet.

We spent 2 weeks in China and fell in love with jasmine tea. I have tried several types of jasmine tea and nothing has measured up to our expectations, until finding this tea! I prepare it in a small glass tea pot and the taste and aroma are both wonderful!!

This tea is the best ever! It is amazingly delicious, the fragrance/aroma is there to the last drop! I have never been a fan of white tea, but this tea converted me. I love this tea, I have a cup each night!
