## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you recommend a 110v power supply for the tach here from Amazon?**
A: I save old wall warts, those plug-in AC adapters that you plug in the wall, and then into your device, and I found one of them that supplied the recommended voltage, cut off the device plug and connected it to the tachometer power wires.

**Q: Will this work on lawnmowers?**
A: If you can install the magnet and sensor in lawnmower. i think it can work with it. thank you@

**Q: Is there a way to output the tach signal to a data acquisition system that reads in voltage?**
A: This hall sensor acts as a NO switch. Meaning that voltage/current are allowed to pass only when the magnet is near the sensor. For use as a tachometer, you would be reading pulses/second, or frequency. So data logging voltage wouldn't really work unless you worked some excel magic afterwards.

**Q: what is the maximum length of the sensor wire? 44 inches is too short for my need.  Can I lengthen it?**
A: I installed this on my combine to measure the fan RPM speed. I needed to add more wire to reach the display mounted inside the cab. The total length of the wire is over 15 feet. I believe it would work at even a greater length.
The unit works great.
