Can i use this to find a colour from major u.k. paint companies like dulux?

Would this device be able to help in my artworks distinguishing colours for art paint as im colour blind and this looks good

It’s extremely good at colour identification but only for decoration.. don’t know if it would be accurate enough for your needs..

Could this be used to determine the colour of finely ground coffee?

Hello! Thanks for your question. Our device works best on smooth surfaces where the consistency of the surface is easily reproducible. We recommend using our Spectro 1 product which offers diffused illumination (Our Color Muse products illuminate the surface at a 45° angle). Diffusing the light would reduce any shadow effect on each measurement and likely provide a more consistent measurement. Very good far better then I expected.

Tested on Dulux trade colour palette and NCS 1950 colours and nailed it every time. Far exceeded what I was expecting. Download apps Colour pin, Valpar, Akzo Nobel and the Color Muse app. There are lots of paint companies on the Color Muse app including Farrow & Ball, Berger, Sikkens which are applicable for the UK but, a lot of the apps are US companies.My only wish would be for a Crown paint app.

It doesn’t match colours very with Dulux

It’s a good gadget but it’s not suited to the uk I don’t think. Dulux matches mostly are not recognised to uk mixing machines so I’m guessing this is because it’s not for the uk market, I could be wrong, but the only paint brand it seems to match well is farrow and ball, crown is not even on the list of manufacturers installed in the app. Its ok but rather expensive for what it can achieve, I wish I brought a better colour scanner there are a few others out there that are more expensive, so if I use this one much I will probably invest in a more expensive one.
