I gave it a 4 star on the install, due to the placement of the mounting bracket holes in relation to the wire attachment screws. They are to close and thus requiring a 13 mm wrench using 1/3 turns to bolt it down instead of a socket as the OEM had to take it off. I had an intermitent cutting out, when excellerating (2008) 36 volt TXT and the new solenoid seems to have cured the problem. Not one cut out yesterday on the course. There is a capacitor that is attached to both large contacts that I wish I would have also replaced but I didn't see it when testing and until I started removing it.

This solenoid worked as described. Found another reason for not trusting golf cart repair shops. They told me I needed to get a new controller for $500 and it was the solenoid.

Good product but the terminals need to be marked positive and negative. I’ve read that some people have had to install it upside down from the original to make it work.

The part works for me. 1999 36volt EZGO TXT. There is only 1 marking to identify the 4 terminals. Turns out it is upside down fron the previous part. Then the slots locations for the attachment studs make it very hard to tighten the bolts. This is why I didn't rate the install as 5 star. I had to drill new holes in this part's bracket to get access to tighten it down.... part works.... good price. Just not a direct fit for my cart and bracket could have been a better design.
