Nice looking and good quality
I read all the reviews and a note stating that this item is frequently returned. It was the only product that fit our needs. It is a really good product and a decent price! I’ve assembled Sauder products before and despite comments about assembly problems, we had none. It comes in a HEAVY box. My advice would be definitely 2 people - it’s a large, heavy cabinet and was much easier with 2 people - and place the pieces on cardboard or blanket because it is easily scratched (understandable because of the material). When it was completed, it was perfect. In fact, I wish I’d have remembered to use wood glue on the dowels just in case a cam came loose later. I wasted a couple months deliberating about whether or not to get this based on reviews, because we are very happy with it. If you are not a competent assembler of flat box products, maybe you should skip. You need to follow the directions perfectly - no doubt the reason for some of the crappy reviews. Doors closed evenly, stores a reasonable amount of clothing and neat, clean lines.

Overpriced for the quality but still good
Overall, I do like this wardrobe. After my husband and I got married and started living together, we needed more closet space. We wanted something that looked nice and didn't take up an obscene amount of space in our room, while still providing a sufficent amount of storage. This looked like the perfect solution. And it is. It arrived in good condition for the most part, there was a piece that was splintered off but my husband was able to gorilla glue it back on and you can't even tell. I don't like the light colored piece of wood that serves as the hanging rod, it clashes with the dark espresso color and makes it look cheap. But, I should have looked at the picture better because I can see it there. Also, for the price, I expected it to be of better quality. When touching it, you can tell it is very cheap particle board. So it is pretty over priced. But, like I said, it looks really nice and it definitely serves its purpose so I'm pleased with it. It was also very easy for my husband to put together and everything came packaged and labeled nicely.

easy to assemble and looks super high end
I LOVE this so much. I'm actually using it as a dvd/bookcase case in my bedroom. I just didn't install the bar on the inside and it's perfect. it's incredibly easy to put together... did it myself in about 2 hours. it's about the height of the top of standard door frame, so pretty tall. i love sauder and wayfair stuff. their very cheap while still looking very high end. my only complaint: it's INSANELY heavy in the delivery box. I'm a single girl living alone on a 3rd floor walk-up, so i had to unbox everything on my porch, then take up 2 or 3 pieces at a time, and there are about 40-50 pieces. I had to do it all at once because it was blocking the entry door of my apartment, I thought I was going to have a heart-attack by the end of it. but if you can get a friend to help or give yourself plenty of time and take breaks in between bringing it in, then you should be fine. I would also recommend keeping the instructions after you put it together so that you can take it apart if you ever move. there's no way you can carry it down stairs if you ever move. It's actually lighter put together than in its delivery box, but it's still pretty heavy. I also rec getting some good anti-scuff pads for the bottom. The cabinet actually comes with a couple of little ones, but they're tiny and if you have hardwood, it might be worth buying bigger ones.

Worst Amazon Purchase Ever, and I'm Not Exaggerating
If I could give negative stars I would. I bought this product based on the good reviews, but when it arrived there was clearly damage to the package. I opened it up and sure enough, the pieces inside were damaged. I had purchased the Amazon assembly service, and the assembly tech arrived but left because it was clear the unit needed to be replaced. So I processed a return and four days later UPS brought a replacement and took back the old one. (I had to repair the torn cardboard and tape it up, which is 20 minutes I wish I had back.) So the new one arrived and the packaging looked okay. The assembly tech came and opened it up, and said it looked okay, so he proceeded to assemble it. An hour and a half later he said he was done and I came to look at it. The front doors had major gouges in them, and the insides had deep scratches. Along the edges and top corners, there were chipped areas. So now I'm faced with the hassle of trying to get a refund for the wardrobe as well as the cost of the assembly. Plus, the unit is now assembled and I suspect UPS won't take it that way. I'm considering just donating it to the Salvation Army and chalking this up to a hard lesson learned. Let me also say that even if the unit arrived without damage, the materials and finish are extremely cheap. It is made from the lowest grade particle board I've ever seen. If you run your fingers along an unfinished edge, the chips just fall out of the board. The finish is painted on and looks like very cheap dorm-room furniture. Don't waste your time and money on this piece of garbage.

Good product!!
Let's clarify...First off, I read all of the reviews before purchasing this. When I read the one star reviews I was sincerely concerned about buying this. I'm a woman, I'm pretty handy. I don't have an expertise level of skill but I can navigate directions and use a screwdriver or drill. OK, the directions CLEARLY STATE not to assemble standing up OR try to stand up BEFORE you put the back piece on otherwise it will collapse... now that's out of the way, you "one star" reviewers are not fair. This took long to put together because it's actual decent material and of it's sturdy construction it is just that... A STURDY PIECE OF FURNITURE. The doors are difficult to get to align properly if you're assembling alone, I recommend two people when you put the doors on. Other than that every other part you can do alone. I have moved this around in my room trying to figure where to place it and it is loaded with my husbands clothes, shoes, etc. it's sturdy. Has not remotely shown signs of weakness, you have to know how tightly to secure screws. if you tighten screws too much you will cause breaks in the boards ie create areas of weakness. The directions are clear and concise, the materials came perfectly packaged and labeled(with exception of a couple boards) but it's pretty easy to figure out. overall, this is a good buy, worth the price that I paid($152) and a great addition to my room. My husband loves it.

You Get What You Pay For
I purchased this cabinet to serve as an entryway closet. Other sellers had the same item available for more, and they were charging for shipping. I emailed the seller immediately after placing my order to inquire about their shipping methods; the seller responded quickly and courteously the next day. The cabinet arrived within a week via FedEx. I was somewhat wary at the state of the packaging: the box was flimsy, torn and dinged, and the only additional protection were some cardboard strips placed along the edges of the box and some plastic wrap that had apparently been damaged in transit. I predicted that there was going to be some damage. There was very little styrofoam in the box, and, as predicted, there was some minor damage to the large side panels and the top molding piece (although not enough to warrant a return). The instructions were straightforward and well-written. All of the hardware and pieces were labeled. Total assembly took about 3 hours, half of which was spent on the cabinet doors. The doors required side-to-side adjustments in order to close, which was no issue as the instructions clearly explain how to do. The biggest issue was and still is that when installing the bottom drawer (one of the last steps) I found that the top of the drawer hit the bottoms of the cabinet doors. The instructions also explain how to make vertical adjustments to the doors which I did. But even at the highest point I can raise the doors, the top of the drawer still hits and rubs against the bottoms of the doors. I am at the point where I can close the drawer, but the doors cannot be open if the drawer is not all the way closed. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's certainly annoying. The cabinet looks nice as it does in the pictures. It feels a bit flimsy, but I didn't expect it to be rock solid knowing it was particle board. The hang bar is fairly thin and held in place by plastic pieces and 2 small screws. Time will tell how well the bar holds up with the coats I was planning on hanging on it. Other than the issue with the drawer, it's pretty much what I expected it to be which, combined with the price and free shipping, is why I'm giving it 3 stars rather than 2. Overall, it's fine as a temporary fix, but I would probably not purchase this or other HomePlus products in the future. Given the state of the packaging, I would also be wary of purchasing from this vendor again.

Finally! Easy assembly.
So we bought 2 of these, wanting to add functionality to our casita. They arrived 5 days earlier than expected. When the boxes came, they looked somewhat beat up. I was hoping for the best but expecting the worst. To my surprise, everything was intact and not broken or scratched. First off, I ALWAYS have trouble either following the instructions with builds like these or I get to a place in the build beyond return and find there's a piece missing or holes don't line up. NOT SO with these cabinets. The instructions are so very easy to follow, and to the point where it was actually fun to install. The first cabinet took us 2 hours because, like I said, there were problems in the past and we wanted to be extra careful. The second cabinet only took an hour. Everything is labeled to correspond well. All holes lined up perfectly. One person can assemble this, but a second person is very useful when you get to the doors. It helps for one person to hold them in place while the other person installs. But if you are somewhat strong and capable with such things, you can do it on your own. I practically built the second cabinet by myself while my husband watched. We're both over 50 years old, just fyi, and my husband has a lot of health issues, and we still got it done without an ounce of grief. Painless!

Good, Sturdy Product but lots of Assembly
For us, this armoire is replacing a Sauder piece we’ve had and used for 25 years and are now donating, and it’s still in great condition! This piece is beautiful and sturdy for its purpose. My issues with this piece are only personal preference: it should be about 4 inches taller and the clothing rack is too low (such that you cannot see items like purses placed atop the shelf below). Sauder provides options for shelf height but no options for clothing-rack height). Overall it’s a good, attractive, solid enough piece of furniture.
