Single-Head Heating Torch Kit - 450,000 BTU, Model Number 171725

Bought this item despite the few bad reviews on it and I have had no problems with it at all. It is a bit tricky to learn how to use but love the built in igniter. For anyone that has used a weed burner knows they can be easy to blow out. Makes relighting a breeze since the knob is already set for a large pilot and when you are ready to get to work hit the trigger and the blast of fire is back to work. Trigger is a bit sensitive. Now you have to remember Ralph Nader and all his infinite wisdom with propane tank valves and the annoying saftey built in, take it easy opening the tank when hooking it up, it will set the safety and you have to disconnect it from the tank to reset it. Just crack it open to charge the line then open it up a bit more. Next issue I believe people are not understanding is the igniter connection; you can have to be able disconnect the igniter to adjust the flame, yes the connection leaves a bit to be desired but is completely fine. Remember this is a huge fire and can be snuffed out due to not enoutgh oxygen getting to it so keep that in mind when working with it. Over all I am very happy with my purchase just have to know what you are working with.

We are using this for weed control. It works as descried. I am not sure what else to say about this product.

I had reordered this unit after sending the first one back, thinking I must have gotten a defective unit the first time. However, the second unit gave me the same problems: difficult to control with the booster trigger when it did burn and then unable to get the flame to blast at all after a few uses.

I'm using this to torch boards for custom siding. It's so damn loud when the valve is really opened up. I find that I don't really need the full power of this thing, but it's fun. The quality is great and the igniter is great to have.

So this thing is super powerful. But that being said it needs to be safe. The seal would not seal correctly therefore creating a very small leak which is super dangerous. Tried to contact seller fo return, no response

This torch is incredibly easy to use. Electronic start allows convenient restarts if the flame blows out. Be careful with it around shrubs and other larger plants as the flame is very hot and plants up to appx 3' above the focus area will be damaged by the heat. Be aware of this but don't let it derail your decision to purchase this tool. Also, kind of cool that it's made in Italy, just like Ferraris...

Product works excellent for what I want to use it for (getting rid of weeds). I would recommend it for that purpose.

Purchased this torch to remove weeds from my gravel driveway. When it worked, it did a great job. However, it doesn't always perform at 100% which makes it very frustrating to use. The torch head continues to loosen during use which creates a huge fire ball. When the torch head is re-tightened it creates a completely different flame. I wish it worked at 100% each and every time---but it does not.
