SOG PowerLock Traveler Multi-Tool B61TR-CP - 16 Tools, Black Oxide, Nylon Sheath, Compound Leverage, TSA Compliant, Travel Friendly

Love it. First full-size Leatherman-style multi-tool I've seen that is TSA-approved. Carried it through the airport at both PDX, SAN and IAH with no problems; the TSA agents all were complementary and asked where I got it. It looks good and works well.There are only two down sides that I've come across:1) To get the scissors acceptable to TSA, they have to be super small, and, as such, are super useless. This isn't SOG's fault, but overly protective TSA rules; and2) The sheet metal pieces that cover the other tools (screwdrivers, can opener, etc) are extremely difficult to open, and basically can't be opened one-handed. Not really sure why SOG included these pieces?

I love SOG products. I was hoping to receive the multi tool as pictured, however the shipper decided to send a SOG folding knife Flash I instead. Since Amazon will not allow me to write a negaitve review about this shipper (review keeps getting rejected) let me say how wonderful the SOG Flash I folding knife is. It looks to be constructed very well of the highest quality materials. I was hoping to write a review about the SOG multi tool which I purchased, but alas, I cannot because I received a knife instead. I'm sure it was a simple mistake by someone who slapped the wrong sticker on the box (UPC sticker indicates the box contains a multi tool as ordered). Since I cannot give my advice about the shipper I will allow my experience to speak for itself. I have reordered the multi tool I need for my job, from another shipper. Good luck getting what you order.

First, I have taken this through the Tampa and Kansas City, MO TSA checkpoints successfully. I put it in the bin right on top and it does get a good going over looking for knife blades. Overall the quality of the tool is just average at best. I had to wash the grease off my hands several times before it appeared to be completely removed. I have never had that issue with any Leatherman I have purchased. Also the file is poorly made and does a poor job of filing my fingernails. I always felt it would be a crying shame to survive the cash but die because I could not get out of my seatbelt or help someone else because I no longer had my leatherman. While this is not the quality it does give me more options so it goes with me when I fly.

I bought this specifically to fly with and it works. Every time I go through security they pull it out and inspect it and then let me pass. Unfortunately its not worth the hassle is getting slowed down at security so now I don't bring it along

Good tool , just keep in mind that despite the fact that there is no knife attached and that it is TSA approved for air travel that it’s not allowed in some other countries. I had to leave my tool behind in Mexico city at the airport security check.

great tool and TSA had no issue with it at the 7 airports I've been through.. the only issue I have is that it is a bit greasy, the few times I've used it my hands get covered in black grease..

The tool is a bit stiff. Come very oily. After wiping it down, it stays oily. The tool it self is sold and good.

I like it for what it is..... I never go anywhere without a multi-tool. This one lacks most sharp instruments but IS TSA compliant which is why I bought it. Passed through Regan international and Tampa airport with no issues.

Pros: La calidad de las pinzas es excelente, el sistema de engranes ayuda mucho en las tareas de corte y para multiplicar la fuerza. Son las mejores pinzas que he probado hasta ahora.Contras: Las tijeras no cortan muy bien y el adaptador para dados de 1/4 tiene un alambre que debería servir para sujetar los dados, pero no sirve, se cae.En general, es una buena herramienta. Si su uso principal va a ser el de las pinzas, definitivamente vale la pena comprarla.

Me encantaron las pinza funciona muy bien y las quijadas cortan muy bien los accesorios excelentes y la funda es de nylon pero esta muy bien lo unico malo es que trae un clip de plastico de ahi no hay otra queja por el precio muy buena pinza multiherramienta mi nueva EDC
