Even with two 16 gauge wires going into them. I used a bunch of shrink tube to seal the components together, and to provide strain release on the cables. Make sure you have some available, or you may struggle getting proper strain relief and sealing the plastic shell. Some people complained about the pieces not fitting together properly, I had no issues at all. You have to remember that the original size cable that would go into these, is much smaller than what I was using. If you were using a regular four wire USB cable of the normal dimension I don't think there'd be any issues at all. I've only built one of the connectors, but I will update this review if any of the others have problems. Connector: * Easy to solder and did not melt or deform, at least at 280 C. Shell: * The shell is hard plastic, not the softer sort you would find on normal USB connectors.
