Once I got them more precisely placed and tuned for the room I have them in, that's when I realized how crazy good they really are. These are highway robbery for the price they're at. I have them connected to an OSD Nero amplifier with a Pioneer Elite receiver acting as a preamp, and they are getting around 140 watts a piece. I will probably bi-amp them to feed them even more juice, but even with the 140 watts they're currently getting, the sound is out of this world. While somewhat disappointing, it is minor enough that I can probably repair it with some wood glue and a paint pen. The TLDR of these is, they are worth every penny of the price you see them at here. I don't have a single bad thing to say about the sound of them, and I may pick up a second pair for another room because they're seriously that good. Edit: I bi-amped them today, and each speaker is now receiving about 300 watts each which maxes them out. It has taken everything that's already good about them and dialed it to 11. Both will sound awesome. Energy speakers had 3 levels or lines of speakers. Connoisseur (which includes CF-70). Reference Connoisseur (which includes RC-70). ...and the top line from Energy are the Veritas speakers. RC-70s will sound decidedly better. When released initially they were $2,000 per pair. CF-70s are $1000-ish per pair. RC-70s are amazing. If the price is equal, (or even just close) RC all they way. No brainer. **Q: Almost done breaking in, expecting more clearer sound. currently using denon avr 1911 (2011 year). which receiver or separates are recommended?** A: Energy RC series shines very well with Yamaha over Marantz/Denon receivers. Energy RC speakers are usually warm sounding speakers. Yamaha makes Energy come live by making it a bit forward sounding without sounding harsh. So yamaha and Energy's match very well. **Q: They don't give good specs on these What are IE Watts size of speakers** A: Wattage: 100-250 Watts RMS, is my suggestion. They arrived without any damages and are amazingly well built. Klipsch was stupid for not continuing the Energy line of speakers. The RC series was likely the pinnacle of Energy's design and build efforts and offered the biggest bang for the buck.
