The best written book on redfish I have ever read. I have enhanced my knowledge of redfish and what it takes to try to get them to take a fly. Also the best way to return the fish after being fooled with the fly. Thank you Chico for sharing your knowledge.

Chico wrote a good book about this particular gamefish. I like his style and will keep it in my library along with his book on bonefishing. He is a practical man with extensive experience at the sport.

This is now my 4th or 5th book on fly fishing for redfish and I can tell you that it fails in pretty much all of the same ways as the other ones, which is to say that it concentrates heavily (80 pgs - HALF the book!) on things that are not important (tackle, how to cast, etc) and doesn't spend nearly enough time on the critical stuff of how and where to find reds.Pros:- Aaron Adams section is amazing as usual. I'd recommend his book(s)- A decent (though not enough) amount of time is spent on flies- The section on "other fish" at the end was actually really interesting- Steve Huff's phone number is in the book... (jk)Cons:- 80 pages on tackle and casting...- Too Expensive- Detailed recipes and/or photos of flies are missing

Excellent book. Very detailed

I found this book to be well written and very insightful not only for fly-fishing for redfish, but also for other species of fish that share the habitat.
