Great quality
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the pad as it was incredibly cheap.

If you want to save the planet
I have recently tried to reduce my carbon footprint by scaling down my paper usage. It started with my new printer.. it has an option to print duplex and booklets. This has meant I now print most reports and documents in A5 format. I find theya re as easy to read as in their original A4 format - but I use 1/4 of the paper.I have found that I can now carry my paperwork in a smaller bag as well! I have found A5 clip files and files....I therefore needed an A5 paper notebook.. which is where these came in.While they claim to have 2 holes punched for use in the files - they are actually spiral bound - and you have to use your own hole punch if you want your notes in your file...So good quality recycled paper - easy to rip out and punch - but .. if it had been punched in advance - it would have been 5STARS.

good quality, good value and carbon neutral. Just a pity you can't get the paper out easily!
I bought these when they were on a good sale, so I feel they were good value for what i got.I'm always a bit dubious about 'carbon neutral', but i suppose them saying it means they're doing more than those who don't mention it!Good quality paper, punched holes are in the right place and all that jazz, the only issue i have with them is how difficult it is to:a) get paper out of the pad, sometimes it takes the part that should be perforated out too or it just rips whereverb) write on the pad with the paper still in-situ (usually you can just flip open the cover, but this leaves an annoying lump at the top where the black plastic stuff (seen at the top of the picture) doesn't bend very well.

Great notepad
Good quality paper and made in Yorkshire by long established company, rather than abroad. Bought at same time as other brands to compare and intend to continue buying this brand. I nearly marked down to 4 stars because I found tearing out sheets not brilliant. It seems the perforated joint is a little too strong. Maybe I am not careful enough. That said, the other brand was the same. Because of this, have just bought a 5 pack of the the refill pad version rather this notepad version. If you intend to use the notepad as a notepad rather than as I have been, in that I was tearing out every sheet and putting in a separate folder, then I highly recommend it.

Why were these wrapped in plastic?
Seems to completely defeat the purpose of a climate friendly notebook if it then arrives shrink wrapped. Very annoying.

Excellent product!
Good quality paper, nicely perforated: easy to remove cleanly but not so easily torn that pages remove themselves. These A5 notebooks get a rough life folded into various pockets and treated badly by me to make rough notes when I'm working out of the office. Never had a problem losing a page.100% will be buying these again.
